Hotel was refurbished in early 2023. and is in soft launch . We were positively surprised .. Although it has a 4 star rating it can be a five star given the design and services provided .
We were amazed at the branded furniture and modern design feel. All bathrooms are modern and in carrara marble with japanese toilets which is a definite plus and a first for us in italy. The minute you enter the hotel you feel you are in another place , the scents the lemon trees .. the art . The bar is something out of london or paris and the drinks were great. The general manager was always there to accommodate our needs at any time . Most importantly we felt the hotel is modern and clean - we like the classic feel of forte but some hotels have not upgraded to adjust to modern necessities of a global traveller - this hotel has and that’s important
We have stayed in many hotels in forte and this now is one of our favorites in the area . the location is ideal given the proximity to our favorite beach club in forte ( gilda) and is in a quiet area where there is not front street traffic .

This is a wonderful boutique hotel, the refurb (well complete re do into a modern hotel following purchase) provides a fantastic, bright, modern, clean setting with lovely furniture, thoughtful lighting and great artwork throughout the property. Impeccable housekeeping, in room and common areas, friendly staff, attentive management team. Stefano is the GM, ever present, nothing too much trouble, even drove us into town one evening...The room was small but functional, beautifully appointed, towels bedding and robes of highest quality. We loved the complementary bikes (normal and electric) which made getting around so easy (and so safe on the flat sea front bike lanes). The bar was very well stocked with endless choices of gins, whiskeys and they made a mean Negroni. The cellar had a number of personal favorites. We only ate breakfast there..it was excellent although on one day all the guests seemed to descend on the restaurant in one go and so it was a bit overwhelming for the team ( i mean we had to wait all of 3 mins for a coffee!!) The pool area is large enough for a relax and dip and serves a purpose, really if you are sun worshipper you will be on the beach but for a few hours R&R before or after daytime activities it was great. We simply loved the hotel and at this price point it is providing real competition to some of the other in town who may be resting on their laurels. We will definitely be back. Please don't tell everyone...we don't want it sold out.

This brand new 4 star hotel should really be a 5 star rating. We have been coming to forte dei Marmi for the last 20 years. We have stayed at Grand Imperiale, Augustus, Byron, California, Roma Imperiale and Negresco. La Serena has become our new favourite hotel in Forte. It feels like an ultra-luxurious home away from home. The staff are incredibly friendly and never say , “no” to any request. The manager is very friendly and very approachable.
Its ambience truly lives up to its name, being an absolute oasis of tranquility and relaxation. The interiors are chic, colourful and beautifully thought through. Everything is new. Every meal in the hotel was exceptional. Delizioso! Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The blackout electric shutters are dangerous as you sleep so well… too well as it is so quiet also. Marble tiled bathrooms all have Japanese style toilets and l’occitane products.
Early evening aperitivo was a highlight for us and our teenage children enjoyed the yummy nibbles before dinner.
The hotel is just 2 minutes bike ride from the beach and 6 minutes from the centro. There is a delightful weekly market around the corner every Friday, and in forte dei marmi centro on Wednesdays and Sundays. We came with our 4 teenage children 14years and +, and they kept busy relaxing at the pool, beach, ping pong, tennis, some board games and more. We didn’t need a car during our stay and used the complimentary bikes to get around.
Unlike other hotels, this one prides on making you feel at home. Minibar, bikes, water and more are all included. The filtered-bottled water continuously available is a great concept that all hotels should adopt both for sustainability as well as affordability for guests.
We can’t wait to come back to this great find and look forward to a gym being added by next season.

Our family’s stay at Hotel La Serena in Forte dei Marmi was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, the warm, personalized welcome made us feel right at home. The hotel is a peaceful retreat, with beautiful gardens, a sparkling pool, and stylish rooms that provided both comfort and a touch of luxury.
The location couldn’t be better—just a short walk to the stunning beach, where we spent our days relaxing and enjoying the crystal-clear waters. The staff was exceptional, offering thoughtful touches for the kids and fantastic local recommendations.
Meals at the hotel were a highlight, with delicious breakfasts and dinners that showcased fresh, local ingredients. Forte dei Marmi itself is charming, but it was Hotel La Serena that truly made our trip special. It’s the ideal spot for a family getaway, and we left with wonderful memories that we’ll cherish forever. We can’t wait to return!

I stayed in July at La Serena hotel in Forte Dei Marmi. This hotel perfectly combined charm and comfort. The room was beautifully appointed, featuring plush furnishings and a stunning view, creating a serene retreat. The overall design of the hotel, both interior and exterior, was impeccable, reflecting a harmonious blend of classic Tuscan and modern styles. very surprised. New hotel with various cool services and amenities like electric bikes , and expansive outdoor area. very nice amenities provided for in the room and place felt extremely comfortable, clean and in some ways luxurious. Would definetly come back again on my next trip

Just got back from La Serena in Forte dei Marmi and had to share the magic! The place is filled with beautiful art pieces that make every corner feel like a gallery.
The rooms were newly renovated and so comfy. The staff? Stefano and his team made me feel right at home. They were so friendly and went out of their way to make sure I had everything I needed.
I also loved the food, fresh ingredient simply made as Italian tradition requires! It was out of this world.
Leaving was tough, but I'm already counting down the days until I can go back. La Serena is more than just a hotel – it's an experience.

We had a great stay at La Serena Hotel in Forte dei Marmi, and the service was excellent. This was our second visit, and they welcomed us like family. The hotel is well-kept, with a nice mix of comfort and style. The artwork around the hotel added to the fancy feel. There are lots of activities and games on site, and the new outdoor gym is wonderful. Stefano and his team were very professional, helpful, and kind, always meeting our needs with a smile. The rooms are luxurious and have nice touches like Frette bedding and bathrobes. The food was delicious, featuring tasty local dishes. We are already looking forward to coming back next year without a doubt.
