Forte dei Marmi is busy and loud and expensive. But in the middle of it is this little boutique hotel called Hotel Byron. It’s located 15 min or so from the heart of the area, on a busy street. The sea is across the street and thru a private beach club where you can pay 50 Euro for a cabana for the day. Expect to be bothered frequently by vendors selling off-brand bags and dresses.

The hotel itself seems recently remodeled and in the reviews you’ll see some unhappy ones who likely had an older room. Our room was remodeled nicely, the bathroom is spacious and the patio was cute, although looked over the busy and loud street so we didn’t use.

The breakfast is good, as is the lunch. The pool area is pleasant, although again you can hear the cars passing on the street. The staff is kind and helpful, all speak English.

There are much more relaxing places to be in Italy than Forte dei Marmi, but if you are here, I would recommend Hotel Byron.

Refined, secluded boutique property in the heart of the Forte dei Marmi glam, perfectly aligned to the italian elegance of the destination. Fantastic beach clubs just across the road and best shops couple of minutes walking from the hotel.

Highly curated gardens, interior design. Loved the fresh, natural and minimal look of the new rooms just built.

Attentive and friendly service throughout.

Appreciated the rich and beautifully served breakfast with a lot healthy options such as freshly made green juices, a selection of nuts and seeds, salmon, all this in the lovely terrace overlooking the garden.

Dined at Onda restaurant and loved the freshness, taste and presentation of dishes. Great signature cocktails and house Champagne offer.

The top option of Forte dei Marmi for discerning guests.

This is a wonderful beach hotel with a lovely and very private courtyard. Very helpful and friendly staff with an eye for detail. Fantastic breakfast and lovely lunch. The hotel is just on the other side of the beach, but you can get to the beach in 2 minutes

We stayed at Hotel Byron for 3 nights as part of our 25th wedding anniversary trip. Upon check in we were notified that we have received an upgrade - the room has a wonderful view over the water however the interior of the room needs some work. Coming from Florida this room would have been rated a 3-4 star in Miami vs. the 5 star rating that Hotel Byron tout. The worst part of our trip was that on day 2 of our stay it became apparent that we needed to urgently cut our trip short to prepare our home in Florida for the approach of Category 4 hurricane Ian. The manager of the hotel would not allow us to leave early without full payment for our last nights stay. Ever other hotel we had booked for our journey across Italy and the airlines were more than accommodating for this natural disaster however it was clear that Hotel Byron have suffered in the recent years of the pandemic and need every dollar to stay afloat. Very dissatisfied with the lack of customer service and understanding during such a stressful time in what turned out to be the most devastating hurricane in US history. This hotel carries an edge of elitism that they do not deserve. We will not return.

This hotel was one of the most expensive in the area. The breakfast wasn’t great. The service wasn’t great. The staff were flippant and unresponsive. Most importantly the hotel does not allow the rooms below 23 degrees Celsius or about 75 degrees Fahrenheit. This wouldn’t be an issue if they had disclosed that. However, we wouldn’t have stayed at this property due to medical conditions that make warmer temperatures very uncomfortable. When we disclosed this to the hotel they didn’t care and didn’t offer any solutions. The hotel is more updated than others in the area but the AC was the worst of several lower quality and less expensive hotels we stayed in on this trip. Overall it’s overpriced in my opinion for what you get.

My family recently visited Forte dei Marmi and stayed at the Byron. We had four rooms in the original building. The staff members were wonderful and the service was fabulous. Breakfast included a wide selection and an omelet station, lunch at Onda was delicious, and the pool was always fairly empty even during high season. The beach clubs are amazing and the town and restaurants are all fantastic. The staff always goes above and beyond and when I asked where I could buy an additional piece of luggage, they arranged to have a store deliver it to the hotel. One evening when we returned from dinner in town, the hotel bar appeared to be closed but they opened just for us when they saw we were interested in ordering drinks. Everything about the Byron was amazing and the attentiveness of the staff is what makes it top rate. My family really enjoyed our stay in FDM and at this wonderful property and complimentary bikes are a nice bonus.

Hotel Byron is a guarantee and every year it is confirmed better than the previous one. The attention, the care – from cleanliness, to staff, to efficiency, to the ability to respond to every need with speed and professionalism – always manage to amaze.
The rooms are elegant, spotless and spacious. The staff boys and girls are kind, attentive and punctual.
There is an attention to the person and the detail that are rare to find, even in structures of this caliber.
It's worth every euro... really. Highly recommended!

We were happy for 2 weeks at the Byron, and very well taken care of. The concierges were wonderful above all Eleonora and the hotel manager, Simon, a charming and very polite gentleman who personally supervised all the details of the hotel, the service was unbeatable. The convenience of providing bikes to transport you everywhere is great, and if for any reason you need another size or type of bike, they will gladly help you get it. The spacious, comfortable and elegant suite, everything absolutely fascinated us. Next year we want to return to Forte de Marmi al

We stayed at this hotel to celebrate our wedding anniversary. My husband surprised me and gave me a weekend in the most chic and glamorous hotel in Forte dei Marmi. We were immediately treated very well by the girls at the reception who booked us a beach club and restaurant. The rooms are very well furnished and clean. The breakfast is spectacular, lots of local products to taste. We met the Manager who showed us the hotel and we were happy. If we return to Forte dei Marmi we will return to the Byron.

I've been coming for a lot of years, every year better and better, more charm, more hospitality, more elegance!
I think there's nothing like it at the Fort!
The new pavilion is simply perfect, with exquisite and classy furnishings!
The Magnolia restaurant after the change of Chef has further improved, fine dishes and right portions, with refinements spread almost incognito here and there during dinner to embrace you with taste, as best you can not!
I will always return and I hope, for many more years given the advancing age!
The Byron ferried me with my dreams from when I was a boy, to now that I'm a mature man!
How beautiful the Byron del Forte!

Are all of the rooms on the 2nd floor modernizes ? Are they modern or traditional ? Mr carlton
Answer from Karel V
Christchurch, New Zealand499 contributions213 helpful votes
I don't know the rooms on the 2nd floor, I always book a ground floor room or suite. I guess all rooms are rather traditional but they have excellent beds, minibar, tv, air con and very fine bathrooms in white Carara marble. Most have a balcony or terrace. The style of the rooms is in line with the traditional style of the entire hotel. Italian charm.
