The service at Augustus is spectacular. Our stay was perfect. We will be returning next year! We are especially grateful to Stefano at the concierge for all of his help to ensure we had the best experience. When Lufthansa lost our luggage at Pisa airport, Stefano spent 2 days tirelessly working with the airline and airport to track our luggage and get it to us. He even arranged a taxi to go and pick our luggage up from Pisa airport so we didn’t have to waste our time doing it. Stefano is the best and so is the Augustus Hotel!

We have booked 5 nights in this hotel. It is situated near the beach and About 15 min walk from the center. That is really Nice.
We have been traveling all around the world always in luxury resorts and hotels. The service level of this hotel is very poor.
I dont mind to Pay 2000 euro per night but then you may expect fast service, good and proper cleaning and correct orders from the restaurants.
Really evertything in this hotel during our stay went wrong. Everyday they forgot to clean the room. Every order during breakfast took 30 minutes.
Nothing is included. To order a fruit drink they charge you 16 euro. Also that is fine but it takes 30 minutes to come and they they used the wrong fruit for the 3e time.
The beachrestaurant were they charge you 250 euro per day!! to enter the beach did not once deliver our order correct.
The room is Nice but they just renovated and they put the Domotica buttons of the roomlights Next to the bed so during nights it is very very light from the led lightning.
So the sleeping is poor. Today i have a meeting with the hotelmanager. Maybe he can learn from our feedback.
Conclusion. Forte die marmi is Nice but don’t expect 5 star service in this hotel.

Please be advised when booking you are NOT informed of the cancellation policy and AFTER you give a credit card and you receive a confirmation you are deemed to have accepted the cancellation policy which is 100% within 15 days. It is not correct to not inform clients when they give the card that they are committed to the full amount. After I complained and had a very disagreeable conversation with the manager they agreed to cancel my reservation without penalty 7 days in advance

We arrived late at night in August for a 4 night stay with my family. We had been told over the phone during the booking process we would be staying in the main hotel but were instead put in the dark, damp, noisy outhouse (Augustus Lido - 3star quality). We spoke to the manager duty manager Francesco who could not do anything but charge us more to stay in the main hotel when we were already paying over €1,000 per night.
We were then told the hotel restaurant was full until 9.30pm and were offered instead to have room service. Not what you would usually expect from a hotel of this price and quality.
It is a shame because the hotel has great potential just the way you are treated as a first time guest is horrible.

Dear Guest, thank you for your feedback. Despite we take in consideration all the reviews regarding your message we need to report some clarifications about your stay. In regards to your reservation the booking department and the Front Desk assigned to you the correct room. As explained in our written booking confirmation you have booked a superior room in Augustus Lido which is one of two main buildings in our resort and it is not a dependence as per your feedback. After the check in you didn’t like the room and despite we were nearly fully booked our Front Office Manager promptly found a Junior Suite available. As per our standards, being and upgrade, he explained to you that there was a rate difference to be paid and you accepted this option. The day after the check in then you refuse to pay this price difference. Regarding the restaurant you requested a table last minute and despite our restaurant was fully booked our maitre found a table for you at 21.30. You didn’t like to wait so our F&B Staff offered to you the room service as an option. As you can see we always take care about our guests so our staff always try to go above and beyond. We spent a week at Augustus Lido (Villa Agnelli). Honestly I expected much, much more from a 5-star hotel and with an extremely high daily price for data services that is little more than a normal 3-star hotel. Welcome on arrival almost insistent and the first request was to pay in advance for the whole stay (never happened before) without even offering a glass of water. The first evening we did not even receive in the room a bottle of water for the night tantovvero that was taken from the minibar and of course found on account at our Check-out. I highly recommend a thorough cleaning of the air conditioner in the room (SEE ATTACHED PHOTOS). inconceivable in such a luxury structure but only for the price of course.

With regards to your disappointments, I kindly inform you that we normally suggest our guests to go directly at the beach club, so in this way they can check and choose on avaiability, the position of the cabana they prefer, but for the restaurant we always make reservation for our guests. The rooms at "La Nave" building were just renewed, and we are sorry you did not appreciate the style and additional features. Our breakfast buffet has a wide variety of products, but we have also à la carte menù, from which you can choose some additional options, that as you can see from the menù are not included in the price. In regard to the laudry, as indicated in the packing slip you fill requiring a specific type of service, you find all the information about our prices and supplement. Great service and location. Good breakfast. 1 out of 5 because the Wi-Fi is completely unacceptable. It cannot sustain a voice call let alone video. Bandwidth drops in and out constantly. I’ve tested across multiple locations including bedrooms, restaurants, communal areas. Tested with multiple devices. They give you a qr code for the menu at the bar and the Wi-Fi isn’t even good enough to download the menu. Makes doing a few work calls while holiday very stressful. Went to the Byron next door and worked perfectly so clearly an Augustus issue. Particularly important given the location of hotel has patchy mobile reception so can’t fall back onto 4/5g. We paid 5* peak season price for a 6 night working break and leaving more wound up than when we arrived. Totally not acceptable for a 5*.

Our room was in the adjoining Agnelli Villa. Good size, enough storing place and many windows. But the bed was hard as bricks, the decoration is from the 60ties with pink tiles on the floor and 60ties toilettes. Insulation hardly exsists and you can hear television noise and talking from your neighbours' room. Absolultely not worth the money and not up to 5*. An exeption was the breakfast which was nice with a really large choice of fresh products.
If you stay in Forte di Marmi, rather head to the Principe and enjoy the big and airy rooms and their gorgeous roof top terrasse.
