Lovely city hotel in the center of Ferrara. Very close to the castello of Ferrara, restaurants, churches and piazzas. The hotel was clean and I was very happy with my room. The hotel stay very friendly and gave me good tips. I will come definitively back to enjoy the flair of Ferrara.

The Hotel Ferrara has a perfect location for a city visit close to the Castle. The price offers a good value for money with two large rooms and good interior. We had a bad experience with the reception service - they forgot to return the ID cards (we too). The request to send the documents to our next location with UPS is still not successful after on week. Late response, no email feedback and a unorganized team.

Staff in charge of serving breakfast was ill prepared for their job even though food variety was ok for the price range. Asking for any quantity or variety deemed too much or varied was met by unhappy stares and unsavoury comments between members of the staff. This considered, the hotel is in an excellent centric location with well kept and acceptable rooms, water provided in the minibar is not complimentary even though prices are not stated anywhere.

Because of the lack of guests due to the Coronavirus the hotel is closing for a month. We booked some rooms for April 1st for 4 nights as a group but our booking was cancelled by the hotel. I immediately cancelled all the activities planned during our stay in order not to pay any penalties. After that I asked for a refund that was denied! This is a disgrace.. absolutely unprofessional! After several emails they offered us an alternative hotel but I had already cancelled all other activities (guided tours, restaurants, private transportation etc.). Only excuses not to refund the 30% already paid. We didn’t cancel the rooms, they are closing the hotel!
