Great value and friendly staff make this a no stress place only a 10 minute walk into city center. Nice views and comfy rooms, most with balcony. Does not have a restaurant, but a great place is just down the hill. If you have a car this is the spot, and access to the scenic mountain passes is perfect.

My wife and I visited Cortina (we visited Bolzano last year, it was nice but Cortina is nicer) for the first time checking in to the Hotel Columbia on Saturday August 25 and checking out on Tuesday August 28. The hotel is easy to find and provided free parking. Though the hotel is within walking distance of the historic center (ten to fifteen minutes) there are no sidewalks from the hotel until you get to the main part of town and it is a little unnerving to be walking on the side of the road. The staff especially Marcel at the front desk was wonderful. He helped with excellent dinner reservations all three night and answered our many questions about the mountains etc. He is world class and one of the best front desk staff members we have ever met. Our room was on the highest…

My wife and I stayed here on our honeymoon. The staff were exceedingly gracious and helpful. The breakfast room was very nice and our room had an amazing view with a balcony. I would happily stay here again if I manage to get to Cortina again. The young gentleman at the front desk helped us with hiking trails and other local knowledge, the internet worked well -- basically all I could ask for. I might pass on the restaurant down the street and head into town for dinner instead. Wasn't our fave. But again - this hotel is great .

Comfortable place to stay and to enjoy ski within Cortina d'Ampezzo. The Hotel conveniently placed within walking distance from city centre, 50 m from skibus stop, not far from Socrepes ski area. The hotel very clean, warm and full of lights with cosy rooms and pleasant docor. Friendly staff would offer asistance and support at all times. Great place to stay and to come back.

Reasonably priced hotel with great views of the city. If you enjoy and after dinner stroll uphill (I do) then great value. Ten minute walk to the city center. Quick laundry service. Good restaurant recommendations.

I stayed at this hotel during summer time with my husband and two kids (for two nights). We did a walk in and got a nice room with a great view. Since Cortina is quite an exclusive destination we were a bit worried that we would end up in an overpriced establishment. We were surprised about the resonable price we got. The hotel is clean (like most hotels are in Italy). The breakfast was great and the staff was very welcoming. The man at the reception spoke good English and was keen on giving us tips on what to do in Cortina. The hotel is on a walking distance to the central parts of Cortina, at least during summer. In winter time you would have to take a bus or arrange for some other transportation.

This hotel provided an excellent accommodation just outside of the main area of Cortina. There is parking space. It is good to have a car in Cortina in general, but in particular for this hotel as there is NO sidewalk to walk the relatively short distance into the main town area. Also, there are some excellent restaurants not within walking distance. Fortunately there is plenty of free parking if you drive south on the road the hotel is on and do not cross the river. We opted to get larger room for the two of us and we had a patio, a nice bath with tub, and great bed. The breakfast was terrific. The staff was wonderfully friendly.

A lovely hotel with an amazing breakfast, very friendly staff and beautiful rooms with amazing views! Get the balcony with the mountain view... splurge.... minus the occasional smoker on the adjacent balcony... it is perfect! Downtown Cortina is beautiful with a nice Cooperative grocery store..for pick nickers.... the funicular is worth the splurge and if you have a car and are able ... circle the Tre Cime! An eight mile ... difficult ... but beautiful hike that my 10 year old rocked! Probably an hour drive to the start of the hike! It took us five hours with stops and walking slow!
