I work for a tourism operator in the Alps and stayed at the Hotel Cortina for four nights while hiking in the Dolomites. This hotel was the best experience I had during the whole month that I was in Europe for work. The location of this hotel is SUPERB - right in the center of downtown Cortina d'Ampezzo and very...

We were in Cortina for 6 days. My husband hiked the Dolomites 4 of the days while I did day walks from the hotel. There are numerous hotels in the town and I guess I just lucked out when I chose Hotel Cortina. It is in the heart of this picturesque village with breathtaking views no matter where you turn....

A friend and I decided to stay here while running the Lavaredo Ultra Trail. It was a bit of a splurge for us, but not as much as most similar places in Cortina, and the location right by the start/ finish line was perfect. Hotel Cortina has all the amenities you'd expect from a four-star hotel: nicely appointed rooms (no,...

Beautiful hotel in a splendid town. My son and I were hiking the Refugio's for four days and ended in Cortina for 1 night. Our room at Hotel Cortina overlooked the cool old church that we popped into for a visit. The location in the town is great because you are on the Main Street. We did the half board...

We were in Cortina for the Lavaredo Ultra Trail and I booked this hotel for three days. A discount rate applied even if the price was still a bit expensive. Nevermind the location was perfect because it was next to the start line. The staff was so friendly with us: it was a real pleasure. In addition the breakfast were...

The hotel is quiet old, the rooms are simple and properly cleaned. Very nice breakfast service and friendly staff. The hotel also offers a good restaurant that is open till over the midnight. Very good location on the main street of the city with lots off shops and restaurants around.

Fabulous service and attention to detail. Restaurant is well deserved of its Michelin rating. Our room was opposite the church and with the double insulation the tolling bells not a problem. Stay if possible in the newly renovated (front) section of the hotel.

We recently stayed here for 5 nights for our first visit to Cortina D'ampezzo as we wanted a hotel located in the Centre of town. Hotel Cortina exceeded our expectations and all the staff here were really helpful, attentive and pleasant. We also ate in the restaurant and it was fantastic, highly recommended. Looking forward to visiting again soon.

This year the Xmas event was organised by AIS Belluno, they chose the restaurant of this hotel. The room was elegant and the food was wonderful, particularly the Cervo, so tender and tasty. Naturally the wines were good, although I thought one of the whites was lacking in body. Overall an excellent event - Bravi

“We stayed in a corner suite. Room #334. Over looking the church. The church bells did not bother us at all and we had a lovely balcony.”

“Ours was 215 and pretty close to the church so the bells could be heard. I figure they would be louder on higher floors however they stop at a decent hour and when they start you should be up and awake anyway. It reminded me of Hemingway saying he had a room in Spain for San Fermin he always chose as he could be sure no matter how hard or late he stayed out he would be awake in time for the next day. We had 215 and it had great views and was perfect.”
