This is beautifully decorated house just outside of Conegliano. We were escorted there, or we might not have found it by ourselves for the first time. It is a little off the main road. The owner is very friendly, the rooms are comfortable and clean. There is also free Wi-Fi. Breakfast was decent Italian. We can definitely recommend and might come back another time!
Alessandra had to come and find us because we couldn't find her. She did this gracefully and then sent us off to a very good local restaurant. we stayed here for 7 days. it was comfortable & relaxing. she searched out places for me to shop for fabric & yarn. she also recommended we drive to Asollo. it was absolutely worth the effort. i would go back in a minute and certainly recommend it.
The Strada del Collalto is a lovely B&B located close to the prosecco wine route. It is situated in part of an old farmhouse on the outskirts of Conegliano. The farmhouse has its own entrance, separate from the owners and parking is available for small to medium sized cars. On entering the B&B there is a wide wooden stair leading up to a very large living / dining room with wooden beams and chandeliers! There is a magnificent painting above the stair, don't miss it! We stayed in the room facing the front of the B&B; the room was large with a double bed and huge walk-in bathroom. Alessandra was an excellent host, welcoming us, giving us maps of the area and recommendations of places to eat, either personally or from the restuarant business cards on display. The local pizza restuarant is within walking distance and well worth a visit, especially in the evening. With a car the location of the B&B is great for visiting the Prosecco wine route. Places well worth visiting when travelling the wine route are the old mill at Refrontolo and Asolo, courtesy of Alessandra.…
On my way from Mantova to Treviso I found this nest not far from Conegliano downtown. Alessandra, the owner, lives there, but the b&b enteance is fully independent from the rest of the place. The entrance makes you understood you are in the right place. A wooden stair goes to the common area: wide place with 2 tables, chairs, nice paintings, and a magnificent kitchen. Here the breakfast place. The room (just 2 in total) is huge, and has 2 single beds, a small table, a very big close-it, 2 windows. The bathroom is almost big as the room, with a giant shower. No air conditioning, but you can breath the fresh air from outside. Free wifi. All Stunning. Very good Alessandra!!
