Great hotel location for visiting Rome, Florence, Assisi, Perugia etc. Friendly, relaxed atmosphere with obliging and helpful staff. The food was good and plentiful, but don't expect an English breakfast, you're on the Continent; although the waiters are more than happy to make you scrambled eggs. The room, a twin, was of adequate size with large bathroom and balcony. Cleanliness...

Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights after booking a break with Newmarket Travel,we arrived to a lovely welcome from the staff. The room we had was perfect plenty big enough and a lovely big bathroom and beautifully clean and the view from the balcony of the old town was great. At mealtimes the waiting staff were second to none and...

I refused first room that was presented to me. It was awful. 2nd room was lovely. Hotel was spotless. Well done to the cleaning staff. Hotel grounds beautiful and sat on top of hill overlooking town. Unfortunately we were 20 mins walk into town with hardly any footpaths or lights. Food was very disappointing. No fresh fruit for breakfast. Tinned...

We stayed here for a week, a Newmarket Holidays package. I chose this hotel as it clearly stated it was not in the town centre, which made it a quieter location. Yes the walk into either new or old part of the town was 15/20 minutes but we enjoyed both routes. It pays to do your research re location. Room...

Spent a week here in October as part of Travel Department group. Hotel is about 20 mins walk from the town - down unlit roads. Our room was small, had everything needed, but definitely not 4 star. The bathroom was a reasonable size with a good shower. However, you had to manoeuvre past the toilet bowl to get in and...

Nice hotel but in a remote location. Upon our arrival at 9.30pm we were told by the manager that we were too late for dinner and offered us a cold platter of ham salami cheese and dry bread. We unpacked and came down for a drink at 10.30. After much rolling of eyes the manager got us tea and coffee....

I concur with the comments of - Carol G.Lowestoft. UK. (Reviewed here on Tripadvisor 16 July 2014) the food variety and choice is the worst I have come across in a so called 4 Star Hotel. The location is most inconvenient, we did not book the Hotel directly so we were depending on the judgement of 'The Travel Department'. This...

The hotel was very clean and the food was very good and they catered for partner gluten free diet with very little fuss and did her fresh pasta ever night. The rooms were very clean and quite large it also...

We stayed at this hotel with Newmarket Holidays for a week 28 June - 5 July 2014, and were extremely disappointed. Although the actually hotel and pool was OK, the food was very poor certainly not up to a 4* standard. Unfortunately for us, the hotel was too far from the town 1 1/2 miles, with a steep uphill incline....

We travelled with Newmarket travel on their Tuscany Florence and Siena tour and stayed at this hotel for 7 nights in a twin room with balcony. We liked the location but the area is quite steep. This was fine for us but might be restrictive for some people. The room was quite small but clean. It had a balcony which overlooked...
