Last week we returned from our holiday at Alberi del Paradiso, which was fantastic with a very high standard of the customer service. Many thanks to Rosanna, who on the very first day upgraded our room to a bigger one with an individual air conditioner and a terrace with an amazing sea view on the top floor, after we reported some issues with our original room. Many thanks to Alessandro, Angelo, Fabio, Enzo, Alex and other members of the restaurant team, who worked their socks off to make us feel special. Many thanks to the chef and the kitchen team, who cooked delicious meals. Many thanks to the pianist, who accompanied our dinners with lovely music. Many thanks to the room maid, who always cleaned our room very well and even styled our bed pillows! Many thanks to shuttle bus driver Giuliano, who daily drove us to the beach and the town and back, even in the rain. Many thanks to gardeners, who look after the gardens really well. Many thanks to Rosario, Marissa, Angela and all other members of the amazing team, who in our view set 5-star standards! Well done!…
There is only one word to describe this hotel - Fantastic! Alessandro the restaurant manager of Al Capone is an outstanding Maître Di! His knowledge of food and wine is unreal! But what makes this experience special is the fact that his staff are extremely well trained, very service oriented, friendly, helpful and attentive, and every single member of Alessandro’s service staff are there to make you experience enjoyable and memorable! The welcome staff, especially Vanessa, were extremely hospitable, accommodating, and knowledgeable about the area - what to do, where to go, how to get there, and were an endless source of recommendations for restaurants, shopping, and sightseeing! Pretty sure if they had the time they would much rather take you to these places! Cleaning staff were outstanding! I’ve never had my room cleaned so well and so often! When I least expect it, the beds were made, turned down, and towels and sundries refreshed with even having to ask! Plus the complimentary bottle of Prosecco to welcome us was an absolute plus! Spa service were awesome! Finally received a real deep tissue massage that got into all the right places! My wife said the same thing, so this is definitely a must do during your visit! Overall, the facilities were well taken care of, modern but with old world charm! Food and bar was delicious! One other bonus… this establishment is partnered with Le Calette so you also get to enjoy Le Calette Reef, pool, bar, and other facilities! Would definitely recommend this hotel!…
A lovely hotel which is quite secluded and lovely and quiet. The rooms were lovely - we paid extra for a balcony and sea view which was worth it. The bathrooms are a little tired and the showers quite small if you are on the large side ! Which fortunately we are not. The air con worked very well, except for one night when it didnt but this was resolved the following morning. The pool is lovely - we did not go in - it is quite cold but looked lovely - a beach towel is provided. The balconies also have a awning which can be pulled across to shelter from the sun. Breakfast was good - all self service, with good coffee. We eat each night in the hotel as it was part of the package and the meals were v good. A bottle of white Sicilian wine was 25E. A great place to stay and relax - I had a massage on the last day which was excellent …
We really liked the welcome experience, the pool (with a great view), and the massages. There is a private beach you can access and it was delightful. It is a bit of a steep walk to town, about 15 minutes - we did a trip down and up. Very doable but it is not in the immediate town so plan on a little effort if that’s your purpose. A taxi from the center of town to the hotel at night was €15. The room looked like the pictures and is what I would expect for a beach town. There is tile floor so there was a bit of noise transfer between rooms but it didn’t go late. The breakfast was sufficient.
We spent 7 nights at this fabulous hotel. It is charming beyond belief - an incredible lobby, welcoming staff (ANGELA! SO SWEET!) delicious breakfast buffet with attentive waiters responding to your every need, a luxurious pool (OH MY MY...THE POOL!) nestled between trees and overlooking the sea, a blue tiled bar with a bartender there all day to grab your favorite drink (delicious almond cookies will accompany a hot tea!) or he will bring it to you poolside, AND THE WELLNESS CENTER - a special, special, special place. GIOVANNA is SO talented - I had three treatments - a lymphatic massage (this was incredible - the next day my cold was gone), a deep tissue massage, and a refreshing facial. INCREDIBLE! We loved every minute!!!! Can't wait to go back!!!
We had a wonderful 3 night stay at this stunning hotel. We had two garden rooms for our family of 5 which the hotel ensured were adjacent as requested. The staff were immediately welcoming with complimentary fresh orange, assistance with our luggage and advice and information regarding the hotel. It is only right to acknowledge in this review that we were disappointed with the view from our rooms which looked directly onto the car park rather than the ‘garden view’ promised. Upon raising this with the staff, we were informed that, as the hotel was full, there was nothing that could be done. We were initially concerned that our complaint was dismissed. However, we could not be more wrong. The following day we were introduced to Filippo, the manager. He expressed his genuine apologies for the disappointment we had felt and really took on board our issue. He has since changed the description of the rooms and the view on the hotel website acknowledging that it was misleading. He noted that we had dined in the hotel restaurant the previous night (which was wonderful) and as a gesture of his sincere apology, took the not insignificant cost (5 of us each having 3 courses) off our bill. He also came over to speak to us and ensure everything was fine the next day at the Reef Club and added a real personal touch to our stay. He has since emailed thanking us for our understanding and welcoming us back in the future as a returning guest. His whole attitude and service more than made up for the car park view! Aside from the view, the rooms were fine. The pillows were very thin but there were extra ones available. We were not initially provided with toiletries (other than a wall hung shower gel). However, house keeping rectified this. The bathroom was small and a little dated. They would benefit from a refresh. However, our lasting impression from this hotel was 5 stars. This rating is based on the facilities- the pool area is stunning, the sunset from the terrace was perfection and the restaurant (for breakfast and dinner) was fabulous. The staff were helpful and friendly. The head waiter went especially out of his way to provide two fabulous evenings in the restaurant- interacting with both adults and children and providing a real personal touch. We experienced a day at Calette Beach which was great. The shuttle service is excellent (again, the driver deserves a mention for his super friendly service). The beach and facilities was lovely and we enjoyed our time there. The real gem was the Reef Club where we spent another day. Stunning in every way. The children loved the kayaks and paddle boards for hire and the view is every direction was amazing! The giant beds were a real luxury and the restaurant provided a delicious lunch. We finished our stay at this hotel all saying the same thing- we would love to come back and stay longer! Thank you to Filippo and all the staff. We hope to return in the future.…
Ten wonderful days in which we felt at home, in an exceptional hotel, due to its location, the facilities offered and the high level of services offered. The hotel restaurant offers a varied and pleasant menu where in the evening you can serve a perfect dinner, accompanied by the live music of a piano or saxophone. The hotel's swimming pool offers you a superb view of the surroundings, relaxing and peaceful, you feel disconnected from reality. The cleanliness of the room is maintained daily to a high standard, there are towels for the pool and the beach. Alberi del Paradiso offers you a private beach that you can reach with transport provided by the hotel. What I want to emphasize is the professionalism of the staff at this location, the restaurant team, the reception team, the cleaning staff, the drivers, those who wait for you at the beach, they are all wonderful. We left our thanks at the end for a wonderful person who, throughout our stay, provided us with everything we needed, information, reservations, suggestions, always full of life and with exemplary professionalism. Thank you so much Angela! Alberi del Paradiso is an oasis of calm in a bustling City! Thank you all!…
This place is hidden gem, set amongst the trees and away from the hustle, bustle and noise of the seafront strip. Grounds are beautiful and well kept. Room was spacious and very, very clean. Was a little disappointed that there were no toiletries stood in the bathroom waiting, but supplied with a wall hung shower gel and hand soap, I suppose this is one way to reduce their carbon footprint which they re committed to some understood. The people on the reception desk could not do enough for you, they were attentive, efficient and knowledgable. The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice, fresh omelettes made to specification, cereals, bacon, fruit, yoghurts, pastries, ricotta and best tasting mozzarella I've ever had. Coffee, teas , espressos and cappuccinos. The staff were awesome and big shout out to Alessandro and Fabrizio. Now the pool area which could have been gorgeous once was very dissapointing I have to say, very quiet, peaceful, tranquil and clean, water was warm and clean but the bottom of the pool which was painted black was scuffed and looked scruffy. Don't get me started on the decking. It is accident waiting to happen guys. We complained about a few that were raised several inches and nothing was done. The reason they say was not being able to get workers to work any more in Sicily. The maintenance guys on site could have knocked a few nails to lay these flat, you had to walk very slowly or you would have tripped over them. When you close in the winter this has to take priority, it isn't about aesthetics, its a health hazard. This is the reason I m not giving 5 stars, because you really deserve it in all other areas, but the pool is a massive part of the stay for everyone. Restaurant was good for lunch but a little pricey to use every day, don't order ice cream... 3 small balls of ice cream 8 euros!!!!! Barman Davide was first class with just the right amount of friendliness, he seemed to be there from the crack of dawn till we turned in at night. By the end of our stay he was like a friend. Transfer shuttle bus to Cefalu centre was handy and we used the a couple of nights, but getting a taxi back later is a nightmare, apparently there are only 12 taxi's for the whole of Cefalu!…
There are many, many positive things I can say about this property, but the biggest testament I can give them is that when I come back to Cefalu there’s no where else I’m going to stay but here! Even though there are many other luxury options, as is this. The service was outstanding, and you have access to two beach clubs, one of which is the exclusive Reef Club with a stunning lido. Just gorgeous property and service all around.
This hotel is a gem! Peaceful, great location, caring staff and real attention to detail. We have visited on four occasions over the past ten years. All the staff help to make your experience memorable. After Covid and returning to travel we wanted to return to our favourite place for safety and security, whilst relaxing from our busy few years. This holiday was truly brilliant. We treated ourselves to the prestige mill, this is the best holiday we could have hoped for. Thank you everyone for a wonderful time, again!
