Good bedrooms and public areas. Food and service in the restaurant were awful and chaotic in the evenings esp for groups like Riviera ...no evidence of management. This is a privately owned hotel. Elsewhere in Italy such are very well run as the owners are very hands on.

Response from alberidelparadiso, Proprietario at Hotel Alberi Del Paradiso
Responded 14 Feb 2020
Dear guest, thank you very much for taking the time to write a review of our Hotel and Restaurant. We appreciate your words, our lovely setting is due to the fact that our Hotel dominates the gulf of Cefalù in a panoramic position, only 1km far from the historic centre, UNESCO World Heritage Site. Indeed, in a vast park around three ancient water mills, we enjoy a lush Mediterranean garden overlooking pristine waters, rocks reddened by sunsets and on the "Rocca" the imposing rock that towers over the Norman Cathedral. Thank you also for your comment on our rooms and public areas, which have been styled with meticulous care by S. & A.M. Associated Architects. Sicilian hospitality and elegant design is to be found everywhere in our Hotel. Your words on our restaurant and management are extremely important for us. We sincerely apologize that our restaurant service did not satisfy your expectations as a group member, and we will take immediate actions to better transmit the management of our family organization. We hope to welcome you once again. Kind regards, The property

This charming hotel is tucked away from the hustle of the city, yet one can walk to the city centre in 15 min. An ancient manor house converted into a hotel,it gives full play to an authentic Mediterranean ambience, replete with all the usual amenities like swimming pool (with a lovely view of the sea in the distance),bar,multi-cuisine restaurant, etc.A complement of friendly and attentive staff ensure that all your needs are taken care of.Rooms /bathrooms are of high standard.Food is excellent. A very special feature of the hotel is that it has its own private beach front, and there is a regular shuttle bus that ferries guests to and from the beach. The beach is sandy, and there is an enclosed cove that makes swimming safe and enjoyable.Deck chairs and umbrellas are available at a nominal cost.Nearby restaurants provide food and drinks, but beware, they do not accept credit cards, only cash. This we learnt the hard way,and had to go back to the beach the following day just to settle the bill. Another attraction of this hotel is that it has a sister hotel (sorry, cannot remember the name) located next to the Marina, which affords a terrific view of the sea,and they have a magnificent restaurant that one simply must visit for dinner,in order to experience the delight of an excellent meal in full view of the Mediterranean sea, allowing for a most romantic interlude. All in all, highly recommended!

This is the second time we stayed here. We stayed in room 405 which is a large junior suite. The room was delightful...comfortable bed, excellent bedding, towels etc., enough charging ports. The room was bright and airy with excellent AC and a balcony with sea view. The room has a large spa tub, of which we made good use, a separate walk-in shower and nice toiletries. All amenities we could want were provided. A welcome fruit bowl was a nice touch as was the evening turn- down service. The property is gorgeous...set among gardens and lawns. We did not use the pool but it is beautiful. Lovely drinks with snacks on the terrace and a wonderful dinner of delicious cream of onion soup, pasta with pistachio nuts and veal, wine and dessert. Breakfast was also served on the terrace and nothing was wanting. Special coffee and cooked to order eggs were offered as well. The service was excellent from reception, waitstaff, valet, housekeeping etc. The rooms and grounds are immaculate. Parking is very easy...outdoors in a covered area. We drove to the hotel but took the shuttle into the center. We did not take the shuttle back. Any restaurant will book a taxi for you..10 euro each way and well worth it. We enjoyed our stay and think this is the best hotel in Cefalu!

This is a wonderful hotel, spotlessly clean with beautiful seating areas and gardens with secluded areas to sit. There is also a lovely bar with a terrace overlooking the gardens. Our room on the third floor had a small balcony overlooking "the rock". We found the bed and pillows to be extremely comfortable and the room was a good size with lots of wardrobe space. The buffet breakfast in the restaurant was superb with lots of choice, the staff were polite and really worked hard to make we were happy. I will be honest, we did discuss a "niggle" with dinner on our first night but from that point on everything was excellent. This is the measure of a good hotel, their response was immediate and totally professional! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel.

This hotel is lovely and tranquil. The location isn't obvious as it is opposite a school, in a residential area away from the centre. As the hotel is up a hill, walking down into town isnt too much of a problem but walking back is more challenging and not the most picturesque. Fortunately the hotel lay on a shuttle bus and if all else fails there is a taxi, albeit a bit pricey. The hotel gets the award for the smallest shower we have ever come across in a hotel. The shower is the only down side of the hotel, the staff, the food and the whole experience was wonderful.
