Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

From the warm welcome everything about this place was delightful- the decor throughout and the gardens were beautiful. We ate both nights in the restaurant and whilst the choice was limited we thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It’s about a 10 min drive to Cefalù- we really enjoyed the peaceful setting

This is a hidden gem, literally. Hidden up in the hills outside of Cefalu this small hotell really is a hide away that is amazing. Very few rooms, great pool and ideal for relaxation. However, if you are looking for an extensive menu, or a lot of things to do, this is not the place for you. You also most likely need a car to be here. It seems to be family run. A very friendly staff with limited English (this is a plus for a hotel like this). If anything, the breakfast (like in all of Italy) is mostly cakes. That could be improved.

An oasis with a stunning view of the sea from upon high. Wonderfully appointed rooms with comfy bed and good shower - a positive change would be a shower gel dispenser rather than sachets. Delicious food - great pool - super friendly owners made our overnight stay a great one.

What a wonderful place. Beautiful setting, comfy beds, lovely large swimming pool. Very handy for Cefalu, beaches and attractions, but away from the crowns. So peaceful and serene. The food was fantastic, and the welcome warm and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful stay and for making Lizzie’s wedding so special.

Just spend 4 nights at this beautiful little hotel situated on the hillside about 15 mins drive to central Cefalu. The old stone house is surrounded by gorgeous gardens, with orange and lemon trees and lots of flowers. There are spacious terraces with lots of shady areas around the pool with a fabulous sea view. We had a spacious triple room with a large bathroom and everything was stylishly decorated and spotlessly clean. The bed was comfortable with qood quality linen (although we'd have liked an extra set of pillows). Breakfast was fresh and varied with everything we wanted. Sunbathing at the pool was extremely relaxing as it was so quiet and restful. Luckily the other guests were also quiet and respectful of others. We had a delicious meal one evening, with a selection of antipasti and two sorts of pasta - just as good as the other restaurants in town. The only issue was the midges in the evening but my insect spray was highly effective and our room was equipped with mosquito plugs. Would definitely recommend a few days or rest and relaxation at this gorgeous place.

The place beautifully set on the hill, the position and the sight over the country and the sea. The house was spectacular and the rooms comfortable and fitting the old style of the building. The staff is very friendly and cares the guests and their needs. The food are good but not perfect...

Beautiful setting and so peaceful. An easy 10/15 drive into Cefalu. Our room was spacious and clean. Mosquitoes are an issue at night due to location. Breakfast was underwhelming with a lot of processed/packaged foods and overcooked hard-boiled eggs but this seems to be the norm throughout Sicily. There was fresh fruit available which helped. We had dinner there one night and it was average. When checking out they wanted us to pay separately in cash for the dinner and drinks which we didn't want to do.The staff member had to call the owner to tell him we would be paying by credit card. It seems the staff have little autonomy when dealing with guests which is a shame as they are all very friendly and helpful.

We stayed last night here. We wanted to catch a train next morning but were unable to check out at c 9 am because the owner had not arrived! The breakfast help had no authority and had to make two telephone calls to get the owner to come. Fortunately we had sufficient cash and knew the price we had agreed and paid in cash. The price was poor value compared to 5 previous Sicily hotels/ b&b's we have already stayed in on this trip. Flies are a problem in this wooded location and the electric vapour socket did not work so we were bitten in the night. The breakfast and room were poor compared to all the other places we have stayed. The only features which are relatively good are the pool and terrace But insufficiently to command the price. Choose a better value, better managed, location if you want to stay in this area.

We have stayed in the Turismo for 8 nights and it was a wonderful time. The Turismo is on a hill resulting in a beautiful view over the hill towards the sea. The building is magnificent with a great swimming pool. The entire picture is just amazing! Not to forget the owners and staff! They make you feel at home, with holiday atmosphere. No menu to pick dinner, just say meat or fish and let yourself be surprised. You will not be disappointed! Points to improve, the showerheads need an upgrade and better pillows would be great!
