Worst experience ever, horrible place nothing to do with the pics all was photoshop. This hotel is an old one horrible decoration, horrible rooms, no air conditioning no balcony I asked to change the room and all the way to the other room I almost vomited for the smell of rotten eggs. I had to leave because I can’t stay in a place like this. I read all the reviews before to come and the only thing that I can imagine is that they paid for it, is incredible. Dont believe the reviews this hotel is posting!!!

Very old hotel, but that’s clear from the pictures. The main issues we had were with the reception staff. Somehow upon walk-in, the lady at reception (Ségolène) wouldn’t believe the price we had been given on booking.com (84€ vs 105€ which she was offering) and insisted it could not be true. When we finally said we’d book it online, she - very reluctantly - gave us the 85€ accommodation. On multiple other occasions she was very unfriendly at reception, what a way to treat your guests...

Having read previous bad reviews I was worried about staying here. It may be that the hotel has undergone renovation but previous reviews didn’t match the hotel we stayed at, the rooms are spacious, clean, nicely decorated. Bathroom was modern and clean, there was a TV. Our balcony looked out towards the beautiful old town and cathedral. The sea is across the road with a section of beach maintained by the hotel and it’s sandy not pebbles as a previous reviewer said. Breakfast was good: eggs, bacon and sausage, cereals, cheese, meats and salad, yogurt and fresh fruit, bread and jams, pastries and wonderful coffee. There is a lovely patio area. The pool is lovely in a nice garden area with new loungers. The staff are friendly. The hotel is a 20 minute walk along the coast to the old town, passing bars and restaurants. The free WiFi is so good you can even pick it up at the beach

We were concerned to read the previous reviews before we came but were very relieved to find that we had a lovely clean sea view room with very friendly staff. Great location with beach opposite and 20 minutes walk along the promenade to Cefalu. The swimming pool is large with plenty of sun beds and great for swimming. The only improvement would be a more varied breakfast. We had one evening meal which was very good too.

We booked seven nights at this hotel as we wanted to explore Cefalu. The pictures on the website look really lovely but are totally misleading. From the moment we walked in, there was a man behind the desk who was completely disinterested, he was rude and had absolutely not one bit of a welcoming manner. The place looked like we had stepped into a hotel from the 1970s. At this point my heart had already sunk because it wasn’t a good start. We asked if we could have a sea view room but he abruptly told us they were fully booked and that he would give us a courtyard view instead. Walking up to our room it smelt stale the carpet looked like it had not been changed since 1970 and it was like deodoriser had been sprayed to cover up stale smells. When we walked into our room we were absolutely horrified. It was dark, dirty, and our view was not a courtyard at all it was facing an area where staff would sit and smoke along with hanging washing. The furniture was chipped and our room smelt like cheese. Obviously we didn’t unpack because my husband’s first thought was that we need to move immediately. We rang our booking agency and they organised with the manager to cancel our booking. We had to stay there one night as it was too late in the day to find somewhere else. The beds were like slabs I was so disgusted I actually put a towel down to sleep on. I could hear when people in the other rooms where going to the toilet coughing etc. I was awake all night. In the morning when we went down for breakfast there was one dried up egg left and a very very basic breakfast. The restaurant was old and dingy. The pool not that we used it is open from 9 till 1 and then reopens again in the afternoon I believe for 1 till 8. And just so you know that lovely picture of the beach well it’s nothing like that at all. The beach is across the road and it’s so rocky it’s terrible. I am so angry because even though we only paid for one night it was the whole inconvenience of having to find a hotel on our holiday which was supposed to be relaxing. Obviously everything on that street was fully booked so we ended up having to drive to Palermo. We were also charged a penalty fee for cancelling. I would not leave my dog in a place like this. It is absolutely disgusting and should be shut down. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!!
