I was there during 25/7 - 1/8 2021. Cleaning: Our hotel room was not sufficiently cleaned when we arrived. My in-laws room was not cleaned/prepared for when we received it at 17:00. Cleaning of the room was poor during the week. Clening of the floor in the restaurant was not done daily which is necessary with the amount of clients that they have. I asked one of the waiter to clean our table before we sat down and he said that they don't cleaned them and put a napkin over the dirty parts of the table. I used one of my daughers wet wipes and could easily clean parts that he said were not possible to clean. Restaurants: There are 3 different restaurants. The main one, with the buffet, was average and had usually something that you would like to eat. Half of the ice cream usually melted before you arrived to you table. There are a lot of bees and wasps. I killed 19 wasps during breakfast/lunch/dinner during the week. There could have been more deaths... Tried the pizza restaurant twice. One was good, the other time not so good. The garden restaurant, or as I would like to call it: The highway restaurant since it is located next to the highway. It is not recommended due to the time it takes for you to get your dinner. During 45min we only were served the starters. When I asked when we would receive the main course, the answer from the waiter was that there were serving everybody at the same time. We got tired of waiting and left. Here, 5 wasps lost their lifes during one evening. Pool The pools are good, specially if you have children. Unfortunately there are not enough sunbeds for all the clients of the hotel. There were maybe 150-200 sunbeds and there are roughly 380 rooms. Bring your own beach towel unless you want to rent one. Staff Most staff are nice and kind. Location The hotel had a seperate bus to take you to the beach which was nice. Otherwise, if you want to go somewhere, a car would be needed. Tennis The tennis court was OK but could need some maintenance. Rooms If you don't know if you should take the beach view or the hill view, choose the beach view since these rooms have a higher standard. Larger rooms, bigger flat screen TV and refrigirator that are more modern. The bath room is small and the shower smaller. Other A couple who was here for the second time said that last year was much better. They were not so pleased this year.…
Rooms are small, especially the bathroom. Clean, though. Beds are OK. Little variety of food, especially breakfast. Personnel does not speak english, and are not always very friendly. WIFI is terrible.
Costa Verde is a nice hotel. Beautiful few, nice location, kind staff but there is nothing to do outside of the hotel unless you rent a car of take the bus. The food is oke not great. The pool is lovely but very busy and no seats available at times. The evening entertainment starts with music for the 60+ and later on for the middle age people. The Entertainment shows are a big part italian and French speaking so it is hard to keep you focus if you dont understand those languages. The aquapark (3 min walk) was nice. The bus only scheduled 2 max 3 times a day from the hotel to the centre of Cefalu and to the beach. Problem is that the bus goes in the morning around 8.30 am and the bus back at 12 am, this is to short to really do something but to long to just go to the market. The next bus leaves between 3 or 4(dont know exactly) but this is to long if you have small kids like me. The bus is always strickt on time. I had a nice stay at Costa Verde…
We came to this hotel yesterday for our last day and night before flying home. lastminute.com made a cock up and we ended up having to stay here.... we were told 4 star all inclusive. I'm not a moaner per se and this is the first review I have ever made but felt compelled to do so. It is the end of season here in Sicily. We opted for an all inclusive holiday. This morning after breakfast I fancied another coffee and so walked around to coffee bar. I wanted to sit outside as the views are quite stunning. The young girl serving at the coffee bar refused to give me a Cappuccino stating the coffee bar was not open until 10am. She advised us to go back to the restaurant to grab another drink. You are not allowed to take cups out of the restaurant and I did not wish to sit in the humid restaurant again. I sat outside for approx 10mins and decided to return to my room only to find the coffee bar serving coffee to Italian guests. I enquired about getting a Cappuccino again and was refused again. Apparently the coffee bar is only open for cash sales not all inclusive. I asked the young lady for her name and promptly went to reception to complain. Reception advised me it should be ok to have a Cappuccino anytime as I am all inclusive, telephoned the coffee bar. I overheard the receptionist say good day to a different named person that who I had just dealt with. The receptinionist advised me to return to coffee area, which I did, only to encounter the same rude young lady. I asked her if she had recieved the call from reception ( half believing that someone else, a manager had taken the call) she said yes she had taken the call.... this girl had given me the wrong name..... so she knew what she was doing was wrong.... perhaps she is just racist.... no lo so... I dont know. I speak a little Italian and overheard her speaking maliciously about me to the Italians at the bar. Even though our flight is not till 9.... checking out early. Never seen brussel sprouts for breakfast before either. This is a business hotel, not suitable for anyone looking for a cultural family holiday. It looks posh from the outside.... the views are stunning, but feels like a prison... attached photos of our corridor.... Avoid at all costs! You will be disappointed. Thank you to reception staff though.... they are the only ones with any manners here. Food... average Air con switched off Pillow flat as a pancake... weird flush on toilet.... difficult to use... would be impossible for anyone with arthritis. I just cant wait to get out of here.…
We booked a great last minute deal through TUI ... then checked the reviews! We were immediately worried because some were really bad. However, this is a lovely hotel with great food, helpful staff who speak excellent English, nice room with spectacular sea views. The main downside of the location of the hotel is that you can't walk out of the grounds without getting a bus or coach. On the other hand, there's a bus to the local town a few times a day and a regular shuttle minibus to the private hotel beach. Excursions also call straight to the hotel entrance. So don't listen to the moaners - we recommend this hotel, especially if you can find a late deal!
