Excellent b&b in a tranquil location. Located im the countryside, perfect for a relax stay. Friendly and welcoming staff. Hosts were very helpful. Very close to isnello & collesano. Strongly recommend
Nice view, comfortable room, clean, very kind host, pancake very delicious, also breakfast is was very delicious.:-) When we arrived it was very late , but they kindly welcomed us. We will be happy to return.
Le Ginestre is a gorgeous property in a spectacular location. Our room was very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent and we cooked our own dinners in the ample kitchen and ate on the terrace admiring the view. We do suggest getting very specific instructions on which roads to take to find Le Ginestre as we got a bit lst the first time.
We chose the B n B as we wanted a quiet break away from the normal hotels. Le Ginestre was perfect for what we required. The house is a few miles outside Celafu and nearby restaurants so you need a hire car. The rooms are clean and well kept..although the small shower was a challenge. Breakfast was spot on by Anna and as previous reviews..the cake is lovely. The views are stunning overlooking the sea. The owner..Francesco was a good host giving advice on where to go and where to eat. Ensure you get in your car and explore the interior of Sicily not just the coast. Try avoiding big cities like Palermo in the car as the rules of the road are limited. We got the train to Palermo for £10 return to watch the football..if you like football the atmosphere is great. Buy tickets from the club shop and ENSURE you have ID or no tickets. Enjoy …
A fabulous, well run B&B - in the hills above the city. A spectacular view from breakfast terrace. Host has amazing tips from best gelato, best seafood, etc to what to see ( especially the old city which is further up the hill). Very informative on all practical aspects with map etc. A car is a big must have and ability to drive in narrow roads .... Host proud to be Sicilian so many delights served at breakfast. Secure family atmosphere. Living area is made available if you need a work surface, outside has plenty tables and chairs too.
In the country, beautifully designed , comfortable, clean and friendly atmosphere. The owner, Francesco makes your stay memorable with great breakfasts on the terrace overlooking Cefalu. He gave us absolute best advise of where and what to visit and eat. A car is a must to stay there and get around. This was our best stay in Sicily all round.10/10 for sure.
Even though our rating is ‘very good’ we can definitely recommend this B&B to anyone who wish to spend their holiday in beautiful Italian surroundings. The owner Fransesco speaks very good English and is very serviceminded when it comes to his guests. He and his family cooked great breakfast with different selections of cold cuts, fruit, pancakes, omelet, youghurt ect. - the best we had during our vacation in sicily where we stayed at 4 different B&B. To rate our stay as ‘Excellent’ the fridge should have been working and our room should have been placed away from the kitchen since the breakfast preparations woke us up at 7 am. That said, we will definitely stay here again if we book another holiday to Sicily. Other nice to know: the place is very safe and only 10 minutes away from Cefalu.…
We had a wonderful stay in this breakfast. It's situated in the mountains with a beautiful view. From the terrace and garden there's a nice sea view. But still only ten minutes driving from Cefalu. We stayed in two smaller rooms but we could use the common space, a living room and several places outside to sit. The owner gave us a lot of tips about where to eat and where to walk. On the first night he asked if we would have dinner in the house and it was really lovely for a good price. Really nice food with the best view. Breakfast is good too. The bathroom is small but clean. I understand the bigger rooms have more space in the bathroom. De b&b is situated at the end of a dirt road (400 meter). But it's worth it, especially if you're looking for quiet and beautiful surroundings but still close to a nice and living town.…
We arrived early and but were warmly greeted by the owner Francesco. He showed us the property and recommended highlights and restaurants in Cefalu - including the best gelato shop ever! The rooms were nicely modernized, although the shower is a bit small. We were the only 4 guests, so we basically had the run of the whole villa. We picked up bread, cheese, sausage and wine after our afternoon exploring Cefalu, and enjoyed a lovely light meal on the balcony overlooking the area. The breakfast included made-to-order omelettes as well as cheese, bread and fresh apple cake. We felt very welcome and really enjoyed our stay!
We arrived a bit earlier than expected but Nino was able to greet us within about 15 mins and allowed us entry onto the property where we could park and check in. The room was a bit small but this is a classic B&B so we had use of the entire kitchen and property; found ourselves later in the evening able to have a private dinner overlooking a gorgeous sunset from their veranda. The views at this property are stunning as is the entire town. You can't walk to anything from this hotel (and it's located down a really bumpy dirt road so have a solid car!) but we drove into town and found parking quite easily so wasn't a big deal. Nina made us an amazing breakfast the next morning which we took on the terrace overlooking the gorgeous vista. This place should be a must if you're passing through this gem of a town.....and as a bonus, if you love dogs like we do, there are two that can be seen on the property-Tomo and Kira; two of the cutest friendliest dogs around!…
