Union Lido is lauded for its vibrant atmosphere, boasting lively aquaparks and pristine cleanliness that extends from the beaches to the facilities. Its location offers both tranquility and easy Venice access, with a plethora of on-site amenities, although the hunt for sunbeds can be challenging due to crowds. Guests commend the various dining options and the dedicated staff, despite occasional service hiccups. However, the value is contested by some due to unexpected fees and the overall cost.

We had a week in a Canvas/VacanesSelect mobile home. Family of four including two teens - 15 and 13.

Positives - holiday accomodation clean and had everything we needed, but take own bedding or prepare to pay to hire. Also need tea towels, wash up stuff etc
Aqua pools lovely, teens loved slides and beachlike pool (it has sand on the bottom in AquaPark Laguna)
Evening entertainment included some bands in various bars
Supermarket had everything we needed - albeit not cheap (we had to buy on site)
Airport transfer easy, use the public transport EXPRESS BUS to Lido De Jesola and campings. Takes 50 mins.
Nice day trip to Venice and one afternoon to Burano from Punto Sabbioni, by bus and then Vaporetta - buy tickets at information point before leaving camp.
Beach lovely - clean and sea warm
Wifi good all over park (perhaps a disadvantage with teens?)
Family spa was amazing, 14 Euros for 3 hours for adult and under 14. Best day of holiday for daughter
Incredibly clean site, well maintained and recycling facilities excellent
Excellent choice of places to eat
Staff incredibly helpful, with fantastic English
Gelato incredible - cheap and huge portions!

Slight negatives?
Most of the mobile homes (tour operators) near the road, was quite noisy with lorries and buses etc early morning, plus the constant cleaning and emptying of bins, no lie-ins!
Huge site so younger teen felt too nervous to go out on her own.
Hard for teens to find others to hang out with, as no central area. Seemed to be mainly Germans and Italians (they would have coped with another language!) but in large family/friends groups already. No organised activities for the over 12s.
Without car, easily 1 hour, perhaps 1.5 to Venice so not possible to pop in for dinner as we'd hoped
No sunbeds in Aqua Park Laguna unless you pay 21 Euros for the day for 2. A lot if you only intend to stay an hour or two. So you need to be prepared to sit on the sand. Rules state you can't take in your own chairs, but many did.
Everyone had mentioned mosquitoes, we took proper 50% deet tropical protection and only got bitten a few times. They are there, but not as bad as some mentioned, but then we weren't in a tent!

Overall we had a great week - it's an incredible campsite with great facilities. But if you can, take scooters or bikes to get around the campsite.

Here again for the fourth time. They did well re COVID and we felt safe. The first week was much quieter than previous years and the site felt nicer for it. Pool staff at the pool with all the slides need to take some training from the guards at the marepool who are much politer and more helpful. The kids I charge of the other pool barely grunt at you. Still a great park.

We stayed here for a week in early June 2019 in a 2 bed Da Vinci lounge booked through Lux Camping. Our girls aged 5 and 7 were in heaven...they are total water babies and the pools and their waterslides were absolutely amazing. As a young family, the beach style layout of the main pool complex was perfect for us - it was great not having to worry about grabbing sunbeds and being able to arrive whenever suited and still find nice spots on the sand. Every night we were there we did something different whether that was going to the inflatable park, checking out the mini disco in the "village square", going to the mini theme park or catching some live music down by the beach. It was the perfect spot for a family holiday, very safe, very clean, lots to do on site. The local area hasn't much too offer but we did venture to a day trip into Venice taking local bus and ferry which dropped us at the corner of St Mark's Square. It was a lot easier to do than I thought it would be with a baby and 2 young kids in tow but the kids just couldnt wait to get back to the campsite. Really the only negative for us was the mosquitos. We had come prepared with spray and bracelets etc but as we had a 4 month old baby I opted for deet free ones and they didnt work at all. With the exception of the baby who we had covered up the whole time, all of us got bitten but our 5 year old was eaten alive. She still had a great time but it was annoying more than anything else.

Dear Family, thank you for your positive feedback! We are really really happy to know that you and your girls enjoyed your stay! We invest a lot for the fun of our little Guests and appreciate the fact that every day you could enjoy something different, from the aquaparks to the animation. ...and Venice, nice to know you liked it! :) We apologise for your negative experience with the mosquitos: we invest in treatments against them, but Cavallino-Treporti is surrounded by the lagoon and the sea, campsites are under trees and nature. We are sorry if your were annoied during your stay. Anyway we are really happy that you could enjoy! Hope to see you soon to swim again into the pools with the kids! :) Regards, Marica

Travelled here in August with my sister and three small children. Wow, this site is fantastic!! I have been to many French sites and this site is far superior. There is something to do for absolutely everyone. My children loved the inflatable park and 5 euros was very reasonable for the entrance fee. Overall the prices on the site were very reasonable, especially when you compare them to French campsites. We stayed with Go4Camp and the mobile home was basic but clean. We decided to hire bikes though as the place is huge. Also many of the restaurants were very accommodating with my sons severe allergies, The lovely lady in the pizza sapori really put us at ease and my son was so happy eating the delicious pizza! so thank you again!

We spent a wonderful week at Union Lido. We travelled from Marco Polo airport by bus, which was fine with kids (age 6 & 9) and cases. Our accommodation was with Bolero, which was a brilliant central location, 5 mins from both pool complexes and the beach, but not noisy.

Restaurants and lovely. Pools are just amazing. One is for slightly smaller children but nice and relaxed. The other has loads of waterslides, wave pools and lots of other beach style pools.

The beach is private for Union Lido customers. You can rent sun loungers or just lay on the sand. It also had loads of shells which my children loved.

The kids clubs were a hit. They did different activities in each session and were nice and relaxed

In the evening there are two main kids fun areas, one with HUGE inflatables and one with rides. The inflatable one is better value at 8euro for all evening.

There are plenty of restaurants and we found the standard to be high. The best one is on the beach by the main square.

There are mosquitoes around in the evening but I didn't find them any worse than anywhere else

The whole park feels clean and safe and the people were a friendly mix of nationalities.

I'm struggling to find anything negative to say. We had an amazing holiday and will be going back.

The lodges are awesome. They are clean, spacious and air conditioned. Ours had two separate bathrooms which was a big bonus. The lodging areas are extremely quiet even during the evenings. The whole complex is child friendly and they offer a crazy amount of additional animation for children, all included in the booking package. There are a couple of activities that cost additionally, such as arts and crafts courses but all reasonably priced. The water parks are huge and have so much to offer as well. Inside the complex there are multiple bars, restaurants, markets, shops, even a hairdresser and a 24/7 medical office. There is no need to actually leave the complex. The beach is easy accessible and clean. I would recommend this vacation spot to all families. There are activities for all ages, even teens.

In this very strange year Bolero and Union Lido have just provided us with a little piece of bliss and escapism.

Even in such a strange situation, Mandy and Stuart (who were working hard on site on their own), made us feel as welcome as ever. We had been due to got to Portugal to a villa but were so lucky to get a place at Bolero and so glad we went.

We flew into Marco Polo which was very quiet on arrival and were the only people in the car hire office, which said a lot. Stopped at our normal supermarket where we wore masks and gloves very similar to UK.

Arrival at Union Lido pretty normal, everyone sanitising and had temp tests for those going in and out.
Limited numbers into pool areas and people being quite sensible and spaced out on beach. Felt pretty safe apart from in main areas in evening although masks compulsory from 18.00 hours in crowded places and most people complied. Chose to only dine out one night, apart from that stayed at mobile. Take out shops offering more varied menus which helped.

Anyone going now, enjoy and relax as we did. Take early walks on the quiet beach and enjoy the change. Our teenage boys were happy to stay with us, play games and avoid crowds in evening which made for lovely family holiday. We've worked through lockdown and desperately needed this little piece of calm and relaxation. Bolero provided as ever and more. Cannot thank them enough.

Union lido is the best campsite I have ever stayed at. The dog camp is the most friendly comforting place to be, as the bar staff are bubbly and friendly. the life guards are also not afraid to interact with the kids in the pool. The dog pool has to be the best facility as it lets dogs go for a swim and trains them not to be afraid of the water.
And I just want to thank you all about your COVID 19 response and how you have tackled it, you make a horrible time in history to an amazing time to be around.
Truly, thank you.

This resort looks spectacular on instagram, but so does Kim Kardashian and I wouldn’t want to spend a week in August with her. Just like the fruit you buy at their overpriced greengrocers, what looks sweet and tasty on the outside can often leave you disappointed and underwhelmed and in my case a bitter aftertaste. The place has all the charm of Second World War prisoner of war camp, with its overbearing water/watch tower all your rights as a free citizen are cruelly snatched away from you as soon as you enter the place. They strip your passports away from you quicker than you can say Priti Patel, I literally had to beg on my hands and knees in the managers office to get mine back so I didn’t miss my flight home again. I though I was in some kind of Hunger Games survival competition at one point , with their incessant announcements over the tannoy giving me instructions who to kill to survive.
I’m half Italian and have travelled all over Italy so I know how warm and friendly the majority of Italians are. But not this place , I think the must have held a competition to find the most rude arrogant unfriendly staff in the whole of Italy and for that you can only commend how well they have succeeded.
Yes I’m bitter and angry but that’s only because of the disgusting way my wife and disabled child were treated when she had an accident and ripped her calf muscle in half from their uneven block paving and they refused us any help or assistance what so ever.

Dear Guest, We are sorry for the picturesque way you described our campsite. In order to register your family we have to keep all passports. On the next day, you can get them back from the cashier's office if you have already paid the entire stay and the tourist tax. If you already pay until the end, you will lose the possibility of charging all the services to your account, but you can receive separate tickets to use the facilities (for example: if you want to go to the SPA, instead of charging the cost to your account and paying at the end of your stay, you will have to pay directly to the SPA). In Italy it is forbidden to copy any kind of document, so you must keep and register them. As we have many Guests checking in at the same time, we cannot register the family immediately and need them for at least one day. We know how it works with your ID in your country; in any case, we usually keep them in our safe and they are linked to the personal code you receive at check-in with your wristband. If you leave the campsite, in any case the police will know that you are our guest and that your documents are in our offices. All our shops, restaurants and bars choose quality ingredients and services. Announcements over the loudspeaker are made exclusively to inform all our guests of various events (from mosquito exterminations to entertainment shows). We are also sorry that your experience with our staff has been so negative. We assure you that our staff do their job in an attempt to always guarantee cordiality and try to meet the needs of our Guests, remembering of course to respect the regulations for the sake of peace and quiet. Furthermore, medical assistance in our facility is offered free of charge. However, we understand your disappointment and apologise once again for your shortcomings. Best Regards Leyla

Couldn't rave enough about this place, this was our third visit and we stay with Bolero. The place is immaculate and we found the staff very friendly and helpful. It is very family friendly my 3 year old had a ball playing at the water parks and collecting shells off the beach. Highly recommend the bar hut by the Creperia they make the best cocktails, Ca' Rustica, Cantinetta Lispida and if you want something quick Speedy Burgers and Chips had probably one of the best burgers i've ever tasted. Prices aren't ridiculous and if you want to venture out of the site the bus stop to Punta Sabbioni is right outside which is about a 20 minute journey and then a water taxi over to Lido and Venice which is about 35 minutes and you can but the bus and boat tickets from Union Lido. There's a beautiful private beach on site too if you just fancy chilling out.
