Such a beautiful place surrounded by unbelievable scenery everywhere you looked which adds a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. My wife and I stayed here for 1 week during the summer of 2014 and I just returned for 2 weeks with 2 of my sisters from October 31st to November 14th. The main reason for this trip was for me to do some Olive and Mushroom picking but we did so much more. This location is pretty much in...

We stayed at Poderi Val Verde for 2 weeks (arrived October 31st and left November 14th). This is a beautiful place with incredible scenery. There are different cottages to choose from and we were given the 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom cottage (La Capannina) and it was perfect. There were 3 of us travelling together (my sister, brother and myself). My...

Taking a cooking class at Ulrike's farm simply rounded off our first visit to the Chianti region very nicely. It was exactly what I was looking for: a glimpse of provincial life though a local, and learning about Tuscan food prepared with local ingredients. My friend and I signed up for the 5-hr cooking class, which began with a trip...

My husband and I took a cooking class from Elrike on our honeymoon. She was great and experience was one I will not forget. It was great to cook with others staying on the property (we were not) and meet different people interested in cooking. Looking back, I would have preferred some say in what we cooked as I really...

We spent the day with Ulrike learning to cook traditional Tuscan food, what a spectacular feast! It was fabulous to share her kitchen and use so much produce from her beautiful farm. Ulrike is very fun and engaging and managed our group of eight very easily. The day was the perfect for children, there were three in our group, and...

Poderi Val Verde was an amazing experience. We had a cooking class with the home owner, followed by an Archery class with the owner's son. Out of the 8 days we spent in Italy, this was by far our favorite experience. From the property, to the people, to the food, everything was amazing....and delicious of course! I would recommend the...

We have been in podere Val verde for a week, my family had a great time. For every age we found some attraction to do: a great pool, great basketball field, great cooking class. UlRike and her lovely son Fabian, the owners are so nice and welcoming. We will defiantly come back.

“The rooms with the best views are 3&4. The best room for mobility impaired is either 3 or 2, although the tub/shower combo in room 3 may be a problem for those not able to step over a standard height tub wall. Room 2 is great for kids, and room 1, though the smallest is the most intimate.”
