We stayed here for 2nights on our road trip holiday and it's a wonderful part of Tuscany there are views around every corner. The hotel is in a good location just on the edge of the village were there are lots of bars restaurants which are easy to walk to, the room was good clean and full of charm we...

We were happy to get a room as we were traveling through Castellina in Chianti with no reservations. Beautiful old hotel with lovely rooms. Breakfast was a bit lacking, but I think that is because we arrived 30 minutes before it ended. We will definitely stay here again,

A beautiful, rustic farmhouse within walking distance of Castellina in Chianti. Our room was gorgeous with a beamed ceiling and antique furniture. Roberta and team were great in helping us find places to visit, eat and organising a vineyard tour. Breakfast was great, warm croissants and fresh coffee. The pool is an added extra and great for a dip or...

We've just come back from Tuscany and stayed for a week at the Il Colombaio for our honeymoon. The hotel is lovely full of rustic charm. The breakfasts were yummy - fresh croissants every morning with a delicious cappuccino. Everyone was really helpful and Roberta was lovely and speaks great English especially with all the questions I have about the...

I stayed here for a second time with Roberta and her staff. Lovely again. We had 2 rooms with beautiful beamed ceilings and great bathrooms. Always clean. I found out in the town that this is one of the oldest buildings in the area. Its one of the coolest ones too.

We stayed at Il Colombaio at the end of September. This quaint little inn had parking, WIFI and breakfast included. It is a 7 minute walk to the center of Castellina where one will find a variety of restaurants and small shops. We used this as a home base while we took day trips throughout the Chianti region and other...

This is a very good farmhouse conversion just a short 5 to 10 minute stroll(for a 72 year old) from shops, cafes and restaurants. The owner Roberta is very welcoming and helpful who also speaks good English. There is a nice swimming pool overlooking the valley at the rear of the property.Breakfast is good and is served in the garden(weather permitting).Would definitely return.

Located on the outskirts of the small town of Castellina, Il Columbaio is a great place to stay if touring the region by car. Very easy to find, with a large parking lot, the hotel has a large grounds area including an outdoor pool, and is a short 5 minute walk to the town centre. The rooms are all large,...

Roberta owns this inn and she is very sweet and helpful. The room was spacious, although the bed was very uncomfortable and there were no screens on the windows (some bug issues). Breakfast in the morning was complete with homemade, hot, fresh criossants. Castellina in Chainti was a very cute town with a couple really good restaurants. Colombio was a...

This conveniently located, old world farmhouse villa a good mix of budget friendly lodging and antique charm. The owner, Roberta, was a wonderful lady who out of her way to accommodate our every need during our short 2 night stay. It was odd that the place was never cleaned as much as I would have liked and the amount of...
