My wife and l stayed here for 3 nights. The staff where all very nice and helpful, 10 out of ten for the staff. We got a room on the 2nd floor and it was very nice and comfortable. There are a few negatives so, here we go. The fridge didn't work very well, which is due to only having electricity when the room is occupied, having to insert your key card to switch it on. The front of the property can be very busy and loud so, if your a light sleeper ask for a room at the back. All in all apart from the few negatives, we would deferentially stay here again. The breakfast was good and plenty full.
Nice hotel with friendly personal in the centro storico of Brescia. The room was nice and clean, the bathroom very small. The bed was rather hard. The breakfast was extensive and very friendly served. Lots of restaurants in the neighbourhood of the hotel. The hotel is in the zone where cars are not allowed. Parking under Piazza della Viitoria is 16 euros a night. Ask for a room not on the street side, could be very noisy untill late at night.
You simply cannot beat the location - right in the centre of things. I arrived on a cold day in January, and the room was far too warm - I got shown how to turn it off, and never turned it back on again. I didn't hear anything from the street, but I did get woken up by people returning at 0115, the acoustics in the hotel were a bit noisy and echo-y, and early in the morning I could hear people moving around the hotel. I could hear the phone ringing at reception as well. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful and it was really good value for money.
I stayed one night for a concert at Chiesa di San Giuseppe which was nearby. Really comfortable bed and a nice room on the first floor looking onto the old street outside. Breakfast contained a good selection of continental foods in a fairly small dining room. What made the hotel special was the staff who were very friendly and helpful.
We - a couple - were initially coming for one night, as we were looking to stay in Brescia for a dinner at Santa Guilia (very good restaurant with unique 1000 Miglia design). We found this nice place to stay in the city center. The rooms are clean and the location is optimal for a visit of Brescia. The staff is very friendly and nice. Nearby is a restaurant - owned by the same owner as the hotel: this is very good (eat the noodles with gorgonzola sauce and the tagliata). We came back two days later and stayed another night.
This Hotel has the best possible location in Brescia, a really interesting and beautiful city. The Hotel is clean and the personell kind and effcient. The breakfast is worth having, the price is good and the croissants are great. We reccomand the hote which has a great value for money
A very nice hotel in the middle of the center, very clean. Friendly and helpfull the girls at the front desk and in the breakfast room which was nery good! My husband went for the secont time to stay there, looked for no other hotel. The shower cabin could be a little bigger, I was there for a visit and stayed 5 nights. Beautiful city with beautiful people! My regards to the girls which work there. I will come again!
The thought of staying in the city centre is great until you’re put in a room with a window facing three bars. Considering I was working long hours and just wanted to sleep at a reasonable time, there was no chance of that happening when three different bars are playing music and still have diners until the early hours. This combined with the fact there is a bell tower going off near the hour and on the hour makes it impossible to get a good nights sleep. I did ask to move rooms every night and only on the fifth additional night after my flight was unexpectedly cancelled did I get a room indoors. Breakfast is good but if you’re too tired to eat, what’s the point of it.
I stayed at Albergo Orologio for 2 nights in February 2018. The beauty of the place, like Europe, is best experienced in person. You get the typical charming Italian town experience and every nook and cranny around reeks of culture. Every building you see is huge, appears historical and may have its own story to tell. There is a plaza nearby, a huge library, a church with a giant clock, a couple of malls close by, and to top it all, the service is top class. You can explore the town on foot and find plenty of shops within a 2 km radius selling a lot of touristy items at a real bargain. The breakfasts each morning were phenomenal, and the croissants served here - (arguably Europe's best - yeah seriously - I travelled for 15 days across 5 countries) - alone make it worth another visit! Next time I intend to visit Italy with family and will check-in at Albergo Orologio for sure!!…
