There are some positives for this hotel, and definitely negatives. Frankly, we probably would not stay here again. The ground floor public rooms are fairly elegant, and the staff is genuinely warm and welcoming. While they are distant from "downtown", and this is not a city you will want to drive in, they are only 300 meters from a metro station. A taxi ride downtown (or back) is only 7 0r 8 euros. Eden, a fine restaurant, is a 7 or 8 minute walk and the neighborhood isn't bad. We have had dreadful breakfasts at 4 star "chain hotels" in Modena and Parma. Theirs was marginally better. The coffee was drinkable, the yogurt acceptable; the "orange juice" supermarket generic, and the pastries and bread ok but nothing special. The real problems are above and below. While considerable effort has been made to put everything in our bedroom we might need, you needed a shoe horn to use them. The rooms are old ship stateroom small, and retrofitted as best they could, annoyingly claustrophobic. Had considerable problems with the wifi. It wouldn't accept VPN unless I brought my laptop to the ground floor. The two elevators worked fine, but as you might expect, were very small. The hotel offers "free parking=stunted spaces in front of the main entrance, suitable for a Fiat 500 and not much more, or in the garage. The garage is more like a dirty dungeon, two layers with stanchions making it a Rubik's cube problem to get into a still small space. There is no elevator, so be prepared for a very steep walk up the ramps. With some luck, the lights might stay on..for awhile. The garage is grease stained and doesn't look like it has been cleaned in a long time. We liked Brescia. At this price point and the "4 star rating" we expected more. If we return, we will look for another venue.…
The hotel is spotlessly clean and the staff are very polite and extremely helpful. The rooms are nicely decorated very big with extremely comfortable beds and pillows. The linen was brand new. The breakfast was rich with delicious variety of cakes and dolci apart from the rest. The coffee is perfect. The internet connection was very fast and the parking easy with lots of parking lots. There is someone always available for advice, so our holidays were enriched with local tips. It is very close to supermarkets and the metro is nearby. The best gelato of the city is just across the hotel. We had at least one after every excursion. Brescia is a wonderful city and the hotel is a good base if you want to discover Brescia and the lakes. All in all, hotel Ambasciatori is highly recommended. …
The hotel is very clean, staff are extremely helpful and friendly and always willing to help, exquisite location breakfast was good and hospitality was amazing , staff at the front desk went out of their way to help me
The hotel is located - between 2 parks - at walking distance from restaurants and bars - very Close to shops The + : - The room is super clean - excellent breakfast with great choice of cheese and ham - confortable room - free parking The -: - a bit oldstyle -
Stayed here one night en route to Venice. Very clean and spacious room. Quiet. I chose this hotel as I needed to be able to reach the station early in the morning. The hotel is about 6 minutes walk from Marconi metro station which is only a few stops to the train station. Continental breakfast is the usual mix of breads, cheese etc. There are not many eating options in the area - although I did find a good place nearby - the Elite cafe which is a bar and snacks place.
I spent three nights with my family at this comfy hotel, and everything was really great. The nice breakfast, the good location, the comunicating rooms (excelents for a family like mine), the sympathy of Paolo, Alessandro and all the Staff. Highly recomendable.
We were extremely warmly greeted and welcomed to this wonderful family run hotel. Our needs were very well catered for and the information we received about Brescia and its history and attractions made a big difference to our appreciation for this lovely city. Thank you to the management and staff for excellent service.
Very nice and pleasant place to stay to enjoy the visit of Brescia. Rooms are spacious , confortable and clean. Staff extremely helpful. Good location close to the metro and walking distance from the Castle and historical center. Free parking. Highly recommended place
Hotel Ambasciatori is a family run hotel and I think this makes a big difference: you only meet kind staff always trying to do the best for you. The decoration is classic, very well kept in all details, very clean. One can relax in confortable sofas and armchairs in the lounge, have a drink at the bar at any moment of the day, the restaurant serves good food. It's well situated not far from the town center and it's close to the underground. If you add a reasonable price, I think one can absolutely recommend this hotel!
We took the 4-person room for our family for one night. We booked directly on site and got the same price as online (€132 including breakfast) and didn't negotiate. The parking is quite small and crowded. I'm not sure if there is a cleaning problem (we found some earrings on the floor from a previous guest and we're not sure if the toilet was cleaned before our children used it), but there were no other real cleaning problems. One of the two rolling shutters couldn't shut entirely, so there was some annoying light in the morning. The bathroom door cannot be locked. I don't care if someone sees me naked, but not having your privacy in the bathroom can be a problem if four people share the room. Breakfast was ok, but not much choice. Orange juice quality (0-4): 2 (pasteurized bottled from concentrate). I would guess this was a five-star hotel a long time ago, as this is in typical old style. There is a nice bar and piano lounge (we didn't go there). For business travelers I would recommend this hotel. Internet connection is excellent (which is quite rare in other hotels). Good location if you're there by car.…
