Wished we had seen the post from a month ago prior to our arrival but sadly we didn't and suffered the exact same experience as the last two posters. In Jan. 2016 using Pay pal , my wife and I booked a 4 night stay at Castello Val di Colle for Sept. 29th - Oct. 1st, 2016. We communicated numerous times...

This place is CLOSED but they will still take your money - SO DON'T BOOK. We drove across from Greve (around 2 hrs) only to be greeted with a large locked rusty iron fence. We spoke to the proprietors (who were on holiday in the US) and was only greeted with expletives before they slammed down the phone. Why Paypal...

My husband and I are currently traveling on our honeymoon, and we were excited to spend 4 nights at the Castello Val Di Colle. I emailed the hotel late last year and after prepaying for the accommodation, we were all set. At not point in the last 12 months did the hotel ever advise us that there would be any...

Not exactly the easiest place(GPS doesn't work so great on back roads, especially in the dark) to find, BUT, once you do, wow. An old castle up on a hill at the end of a long, winding road. They have their own restaurant, make their own wines and olive oils and the food was excellent. Beautiful breakfast buffet. Dinner can...

My wife and I came here for our honeymoon for five nights in September and had an amazing time. From the moment we arrived until the minute we left, we felt like family and we're pampered our entire stay. This was our first time in Arezzo or Tuscany for that matter, and we will definitely will be coming back to...

I booked Castello Val di Colle over a year in advance for my wedding. Renee was so very helpful to me in the planning process. I was a bit nervous since I was planning everything sight unseen from the US. But upon arriving my nerves were eased. The castle is stunning and rich in history. All of our wedding guests...

This is not a 5 star hotel but a wonderful, family run estate in the hills overlooking Arezzo. The rooms are small and authentic. The food was good and the service spot on. We felt like family and enjoyed talking to the owners and their son Caleb. The hotel is up a narrow road and not easy to find by...

The castle and everyone were over-the-top amazing. Just walking around the place shortly after arrival was Deja Vu, like we had lived there in past lives. You have the modern conveniences, yes; but the feel is so relaxing and historic. You will want to settle in. We received such a warm welcome, personal attention, and so many helpful suggestions. You...

TUSCAN DREAM FULFILLED I am a veteran Italy traveler and like everyone I had a picture in my mind of what my “perfect Tuscan vacation” would be - a room with exposed beams in a charming rustic stone building with it’s own ancient entrance road winding to the top of a hill with vistas over a valley of olive groves,...

We booked this fabulous B & B castle lodinging almost a year in advance as our home base in Tuscany after our cruise on the NCL Epic from Rome. We took the train from Rome to Arezzo and rented a car from Budget. We were absolutely blown away upon arrival up, up, up a winding, narrow, wooded lane outside Arezzo...

The castle was built over 1,000 years ago by hand, by local artisans and artists of the trades. All of the floors are adorned in original woods and terra cotta, indigenous to the Tuscan region. The castle is furnished in genuine, traditional, antique Tuscan faire and each piece has been hand selected over the years to compliment its captivating surroundings. The hauntingly beautiful walls of each room are decorated with hand selected original art works from artists that span the globe and the realm of time. No two rooms are quite alike. Amongst the ancient splendor of this magnificent castle one will also find all the modern comforts and conveniences of the 21st century, blended seamlessly into the ancient architecture. Every room is equipped with its own flat screen television, dvd player, and satellite tv.
