This hotel reminds me so much of the days back in the late 1990's that my wife and I would stay in the Chateau et Hotel de France (before Alain Ducasse took it over and raised all the prices). It is part of the modern version of this group, but it has that wonderful feel. The staff throughout was very,...

Set in a quiet village with superb views on the castle of Chateauneuf en Auxois, this restaurant offers fabulous value for money with a 3-course lunch menu at 26Euros (31Euros for 4 courses). The menu is simple, with a choice of 3 starters, 3 mains and 3 desserts with the option of adding cheese. The wine list is extensive, with...

Our first stay in April 2015 was outstanding, so much so that a three-night reservation was the first one we made when planning a trip back to France in June 2016 with 5 friends. Imagine our disappointment with being assigned dinky rooms ( the first one was not large enough for both of us to open our suitcases at the...

Dear Ellen B, We are disappointed to read that your last experience was not up to your expectations. We have done our best to satisfy you by changing allocations of rooms and offering you a deluxe room on the second floor of the Castle. Regarding the restaurant, we still have the same chef who delighted guests with its menus and...

This was the best place in this area. Beautiful location and excellent restaurant. The gourmand menus at the weekend are fantastic. Every course was delicious and an elegant work of art. Also provided were various amuse bouches etc. Extensive wine list and excellent charming service. On weekdays there is just the lunch formula but this is also excellent and good...

a lovely setting with very well maintained building and grounds, We stayed in room 220 which offered great views but beware of the wooden ceiling beams. very comfortable bed, excellent room infrastructure, very friendly, attentive and helpful personnel in every respect. We recommend the restaurant for your evening meal. Take your time and enjoy the service and the food.

Owned by a duo of great hoteliers (not their main property), this place was rescued by them from ruin. After a smart renovation, and a couple of years back in business, the place is going from strength to strength. We stayed last year for the first time and loved it. Very relaxed and an AMAZING building, so pretty inside and...

I booked this hotel because of its excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. Although it's a beautiful place, the service is lacking and our stay was quite disappointing. We visiting Sainte-Sabine to celebrate our anniversary. With its relative proximity to the vineyards of Burgundy and seemingly high prestige, we thought it would be the perfect place. I emailed the hotel directly to...
