We have enjoyed every single moment of our stay - the arrival, the check-in, the room, the visit of the property (the receptionist could have just given further historical details), the time of the aperitif, the visit in the gardens and wine yards and the breakfast... our only regret was to leave. Thanks a lot to the entire team.

My friends and I were very excited to meet for lunch at this beautiful hotel in the vineyards. When we arrived at 12 noon there were two other tables seated. We sat down and were instructed to use the new menu system, via the QR code. So far so good, then we decided to forgo wine at lunch because we all had to return to work. And after what we perceive to be taken as reason to basically ignore us, we waited, and waited and waited and waited for our food. We were not offered Bread, tapenade etc as other tables had. Finally our lunches were served. The tuna was extremely overcooked, especially when the menu listed it as ‘mi-cult’. try as we might, we could not get the attention of any of the wait staff to discuss, so we gave up on it. Then we waited and waited and waited while other tables which sat down after us were well attended to. They had their lunches long before ours arrived. it was as if we were invisible, and so even to get the check took another 20 minutes. We are all involved in either food, catering or the restaurant industry and we were pretty shocked at how bad the service was. It absolutely pains me to write this because Fonscolombe was supposed to be a treat, a wonderful break for lunch with friends.

The room is very small, no desk, small shower, facing the restaurant so you can't let the window and shutter open while in the room, plus you smell the cooking. Avoid the rooms at the ground floor next t te restaurant. Restaurant is very good and staff is very friendly.

we went to celebrate a friends 60th bday and it was the perfect place. The food was excellent, the rooms were decent..but get an AC room. The staff were amazing, they went out of their way to make us comfortable, even went and bought a kettle for me. We could not ask for more. I would like to say a special Thank you to Tibo, jean sebastian, mathieu, the lady at the front desk when we checked in, and all the staff. BIG, BIG THANK YOU!!

For a stay in a 5* hotel, you always kind of expect irreproachable service. Here it’s definitely the very weak point of that property. The park is classified (although I was not totally impressed), the pool has nothing amazing for a 5*. The rooms are rather simple and tend to be more of a 4* category. For two days, we didn’t have any warm water (only lukewarm water), absolutely no information about number to call for reception, or breakfast, facilities whatsoever or even amenities. They explained afterwards that it was due to Covid. Any amenities are throwable after each client so no reason. Any information on a printed piece of paper can be thrown away after each stay. So again no good reason or simply just a huge lack of good sense... Regarding the staff and service, it has been a disaster from welcoming (no explanation given - just in line with a 3* hôtel and even...) to the breakfast and dinner : - slow service with no experience staff - staff with absolute no manner, - mixing the meals between tables (obviously the tables were not numbered) - asking 3 times for bread or water - our neighbors had just finished the amuse bouche and starter while we were starting our dessert and arrived at same time. Anyway several things like this that show you are not at all in a restaurant of a 5* hotel. no need to have done a hotel management school for that. (And we are not comparing here the restaurant with a 1* Michelin but just expecting a certain standing for such a alleged luxury hotel. Meals were just ok for a 5* hotel-restaurant that got the label Relais & Chateaux. Apparently they got the label just for the property and the classified park but there have been no inspection. Also, I mentioned from the reservation done on the phone that I was coming for my birthday (falling on the last of the 3 nights of the stay). In every hotel of that category you would expect a small gesture in the room or during the birthday dinner. Before arrival, they sent an email to recap the reservation but with a wrong date of the pre booked dinner. During the 3 day stay, we never crossed the director. He finally appeared while we were passing the door to leave (after checking out) to mention that he heard we had problem with the water of the shower.. I seized the opportunity to tell him all what I thought about his staff and that he absolutely needs to rectify the level of service. He answered he is aware of the issues. Let’s hope for some changes but I strongly discourage you to visit this property for the time being. It just does not worth the price nor the 5* classification.
