I stayed there on an emergency one-night stay in Muscat. All in all, I can say only the hotel’s appearance was good and worths the price. The service and room comfort was not. The only good experience came from the caring staff and convenient parking. However, there were also things which prevents me from choosing to stay there again. First, I was shocked to see there was no slippers, tooth brush and shower gels provided in the room. When asked, they provided all but still no shower gels! To add, the blanket cover had holes on it and seemed unpleasant to me. Also, I expected this big hotel to have a business center! But it didn’t! Moreover, the room on the first floor was noisy, from the road beside, staff cleaning the hall and next-door room, and also other guests. Finally, the food was expensive and the price was different from what you could see in the room service menu provided in the room! In sum, I got the room with about 40-50% discount! Still, I am sure I could have experienced a much more pleasant stay in Muscat with the same amount paid. …
Such a disaster hotel, not worthy of half Star! Terrible service, they tremendously lack customer service skills. They need to go from Basics to learn Hospitality, staff to be trained how to deal with customers, not to charge them with wrong not approved charges and hold the money, unjustified treatment and poor service , it is a real shame....Their GM Ashraf Emara pretended to be the accountant of hotel once, but later he's the GM, he is promising something but does the opposite, all they got contradictions, he can't rectify or adjust his team mistakes and he's causing more troubles, terrible leader , very bad attitude with rude and mean behavior, not guest oriented....I would never ever recommend anyone to book or stay at Al Murooj Grand hotel in Muscat Oman.....such a nightmare hotel with bad management and catastrophic staff...…
Stay was relaxing and in a quiet location. Next to a beautiful mosque. Great facilities. We were upgraded to a lovely room. Breakfast was good but busy. Bit further than other hotels to souq and tourist spots so you need a car but would stay there again.
From the first smiles by the concierge and reception and the welcoming spacious room, to the roof top pool and spa which have excellent breeze all day and views, this hotel exceeded all our expectations. Breakfast was lovely with a large selection of cuisines. All together highly recommended One note- Muscat's tourist attractions are very far apart so if it is relevant-hire a car-there is parking everywhere including the hotel and you will not depend on taxi drivers
In the moment i come the security and staff from reception treat me very nice, speaking good and friendly. I make reservastion for standard room but they upgrade me for super deluxe room because they have free and they say that want me to feel more confortble in them hotel (of course without asking me for extra money). Rooms are impecble clean, everthing new inside and nice furniture. Definetly everytime when i will come in Muscat i will stay in this hotel.
