We decided to go to the Hyatt for a long weekend. During Covid we do staycations. Although we had a small suite there were various aspects of the visit which left us somewhat surprised. I had a minor accident going from the sitting are into the bedroom and in the doorway between these rooms was a piece of furniture which stuck out a bit. I managed to badly cut my arm by hitting it walking between the rooms. Although I had plasters with me, none were quite large enough so we ask reception for assistance. No nurse or medically trained person was there and I was sent a very nice member of staff with some very basic items. Fortunately we were near a chemist and so were able to get suitable things there. It amazed us that a five star hotel does not have any first aider on duty, let alone a nurse. We did write to the manager but never got an acknowledgement. Food was really poor and as for the wines, they were the cheapest you could buy. Breakfast was the best meal. Very disappointed and I doubt we shall go back. Sadly the hotel also needs a little updating too. Very uninteresting grounds in comparison to other hotels we have been to in Oman. Staff were pleasant and our rooms were very nice.

Checked in for 2 days and 2 nights stay with friends to relax during our off duty. Receptionist was approachable and helpful. The room was nice but need some more cleanings as there is a little smell which is tolerable. The pool and beach time schedule need adjustment as some customers might want to enjoy more time to soak in the area. With regards to dining service, I was a little off with one of their Filipino female server as she is somewhat rude in serving us as we just requested politely for water after finishing our meal. Actually our stay was ruined with racist encounter. Never in my 9 yrs stay here in Oman was I felt humiliated except here in this hotel. The racist harassed us and imposed their sense of entitlement as to not take pictures surrounding the pool areas. They even had us reported with the hotel's security guard which by the way the guard had us reprimanded. I read the board with pool policy and that doesn't include the no to picture taking rule imposed by your racist customer and your guard. Never did I experienced any hotel imposing this no to photography rule within the hotel pool. So I really don't recommend this hotel to anyone I know. Poor customer service. Poor security.

Excellent property with one of the best locations right on Qurum beach. Good spacious room with an excellent view of pool and sea. Decent breakfast menu and courteous staff. Only thing they can improve is the welcome experience specially with the luggage handling when you come into the hotel. And probably an exclusive phone call to explain the COVID related protocols and changes and general facilities would have added to the overall experience.

Shall improve the overall cleaning of hotel premises (rooms, corridors, elevators etc) and some maintenance work is also required including re-painting and as it is a huge hotel, I also recommend that the receptionist shall provide a brief introduction about the hotel taking into consideration about the safety measures, facilities & services.
