We were in Muscat for 8 days and stayed at Lana Villa. Very friendly staff and host, had some great conversations while breakfasting 🙂. The athmosphere is relaxing and the shared terrace with sea view is just Wonderfull. The host is very helpfull with information about the city and can help with arranging car rent (4x4) and tours. Best regards from Denmark Christina and Tonny
After being on and out of hotels it was so nice to stay in this gem of a place! Great area of Muscat with plenty of shops nearby and a beach view. We asked about information re: area and found the girl (who was super nice) didn't really tell us much (as we discovered when we went out e.g. huge supermarket around corner etc). Only constructive comment we can give as other than that everything was amazing. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend. Thanks for a great stay.
Home away from home in beautiful Muscat! Oliver and Kathy go above and beyond to make your stay in Oman as wonderful as can be. Lana Villa is a beautiful, beachfront property. Rooms are spacious and clean, beds are extremely comfortable, showers are hot, and the staff are friendly, attentive, helpful, and do everything they can to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The little extras are most appreciated - access to a kitchen, including cutlery and dish ware; around the clock access to hot coffee and tea, water and cereal were a great bonus; a massage chair; access to a computer with internet; shampoo in the bathroom; IKEA furnishing (now this made me feel at home!); a rooftop terrace/balcony overlooking to ocean with comfortable seating to watch the sunset to mention a few. Kathy organizes superb tours within Oman (all done in house), and the guides are excellent! I did the 5 day Dina Tour, with an added Muscat City Tour, and I can’t recommend this enough! Oman is a beautiful county, made even more so with the help of Oliver and Kathy! Oliver is friendly, and extremely helpful in recommending things to do and places to eat. Yes, guests have complained about Wifi only working on the ground floor (not in the rooms), but after months of traveling, I appreciated having a few days to unplug, leave my phone in the room, and savour the beautiful, fiery Muscat sunsets. If you can’t unplug from your phone for a few hours in the evening, then best to check in to a major chain hotel. Breakfast was wonderful - eggs, fresh fruits, coffee, tea, jams and spreads, German bread etc., can’t ask for more! The common areas were awesome - breakfast or dinner tables inside and in the garden area, couches and a lounge area. You can choose to be as social or as private as you wish with other travelers. If I find myself back in Muscat, Oman, I would absolutely stay at Lana Villa again. The positive reviews are what prompted me to stay here in the first place, and I recommend future travelers do the same! Wonderful city, beautiful country and terrific staff! Thank you so much for making my stay in Oman a home away from home!…
We stayed here for two nights and enjoyed it. The team of young ladies that run it are super friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We had breakfasts and a lunch and the food was delicious. I found the pool to be fine, nice temperature and clean. Though some may find it a touch small I was happy with it. The hotel is located not far from the edge of the old town with a easy walk in a quiet area.
Very cozy place where you can feel like home. The environment is enjoyable and the staff is helpful and really friendly. The property has a nice balcony with sea view but the beach its not advisable for swimming. Anyways you can enjoy walking or cycling across the beach.
