This chateau sits on the banks of the Garonne River, in one of the top wine regions of France. The hostess is a sweet woman, willing to help her guests in any way. We enjoyed local wine and snacks on the dock, while enjoying the surrounding gardens and park area. There is also a nice pool. Take time to look through the house, replete with antique books, games, and furnishings. The bedrooms are all unique and roomy. Breakfast, with homemade jams and yogurt, was copious and delicious! This place was spectacular. Brigette & Jean Claude have completely renovated this place and it is magnificent. They were also fantastic hosts. Brigette doesn't speak a lot of English but we managed quite well with our animated discussions. The room was spacious and tastefully decorated in accordance with the era. The bathroom was modern and the shower great. The bed was to die for - so large and comfortable. We felt like royalty. In the morning we were gven the most wonderful breakfast - fresh fruit, crepes, fresh bread, cheese, ham, croissants, cake, stewed apple and freshly squeezed orange juice - a meal fit for a King & Queen!

Thoroughly recommend this place and wish we could have stayed longer : )
