Michel and Brigitte make a great team, he friendly, funny, multilingual, and she a well-travelled culinary artist brimming with infectious enthusiasm who excels at many cookery styles from around the world. Their restaurant and B & B is set in a 500-year old house in the local style, whitewashed, with very thick irregular walls, and traditional wood and slate ceilings....

The place is cute and the owners welcomed us really warmly! We had a great evening overall. I'm just giving 3 stars because I think the place is a little overated. The dishes are all handmade so this is great! But with all the raving reviews, I think we were expecting food to be a little more creative. The risotto...

L'Atelier is a little gem in the beautiful village of Mecina Fondales. A warm (tri-lingual) welcome from Brigitte and Michel proceeds the best vegetarian food you'll find in Andalusia. My favourites include the Samosas, Patras and any Risotto. Brigitte does the cooking and her Tiramisu ( I don't even like puddings) is to die for. Well worth a deviation if...

A scenic journey leads you to this sensational vegetarian restaurant. Michel and Brigitte were attentive, friendly and polite with their service. Food was superb and felt 'home cooked'. Very cosy with Moroccan decor. Well worth a visit.

Great little B&B on a small village of the Alpujarra area. We didn't need the car on the four days we spent there : there are lots of walking trails to visit the area. This lovely B&B offers two rooms, beautifully decorated in a Moroccan style, each with a private bathroom and free wifi. The breakfast is included in the...

If youve found yourself at this wonderful little place, then you wont need a review, But if youre looking for an experience, Seek this out. Its more than the food, or the location. Its as if youve been invited to a friends house for a meal cooked by a world class chef, that just happens to be in a out...

This small B&B and vegetarian restaurant is tucked away in the pretty village of Mecina in the Alpujarras. There has recently been a change of management – the new owners Brigette and Michel are warm, generous people who have created a relaxed and charming place to stay. I have put this review in both the ‘Restaurant’ and the ‘B&B’ sections...

Jean-Claude is the most amazing chef! This isn't your bog standard veggie fayre - he offers interesting and sophisticated dishes. He also takes the time to talk through the menu with you and explain each dish. Both nights we visited L'Atelier, we were made to feel extremely welcome by Jean Claude (after 2 days he felt like a friend) and...

This vegetarian restaurant was recommended by a local, but we couldn't find it on Tripadvisor. It's not just a bed and breakfast, it should also be featured as a restaurant in its own right. It sits in an alley of a whitewashed Alpujarras village and we sat outside on an early September evening and enjoyed a quiet, congenial, delicious meal,...

L'Atelier is situated in the tiny town of mecina in a breathtaking area of the Alpujarras called "La Taha". We took the bus from Granada to Pitres and then walked down a rambling stoney path to little Mecina where we quickly found L'Aterlier tucked in to the corner of an old Berber home with a fountain and flowers out front....
