We decided, after doing our 'homework', that Reef View would be a place for the more adventurous traveller; the person who wanted to experience the real Antigua and not as viewed from a fenced in resort. So we booked our holiday at Reef View and found we had been spot on in our observations. Karoll met us at the airport,...

Our week long stay at Reef View Apartments (in the ground floor Seaview Apartment) was wonderful. From the moment Karoll met us at the airport we felt like old friends. The option of having a BBQ dinner the night of our arrival was great as it was late to go out and find somewhere to eat. Nick and Karoll are...

My partner and I spent 10 nights at the Reefview apartment. We were looking for a private apartment instead of tourist villages or hotels because we prefer to “live” in contact with nature and folks. We were lucky and easy found out the Reefview in internet. We stayed at the Penthouse, the apartment at the second floor. Very clean and...

My original, lengthy post about our misadventures disappeared mysteriously. The gist of it is that my girlfriend and I were looking forward to a trip to Reefview, but got turned off by some of Karoll's strange behavior and decided to stay somewhere else on the island (losing out on our $300 deposit, which Karoll refused to return). Karroll had some...

We stayed in the Penthouse over Christmas and New Year and had a fabulous time at Reef View. The apartment was well equipped for making meals but perhaps most importantly had a great large fridge/freezer to keep all those beers cold and plenty of space for ice for the gin & ting! Each room has a ceiling fan, we could...

My boyfriend and I stayed in the Beach Loft Cottage for a week to celebrate his 30th birthday and overall we had a fantastic trip, helped along greatly by Karoll's tips and advice. There were a couple of things that disappointed me based on my expectations from previous reviews which I thought it would be good to clear up for...

Beach Loft and surroundings: • Rustic • Basic • No door on bathroom which is adjacent to the kitchen • Steep ladder up to loft with strange stair configuration (dangerous & tough to get luggage up and down) • Were there for 10 days and did not have sheets changed • Had to ask for clean towels • Could not...

We are just back from a fortnight with Nick and Karoll at Reefview. The apartments are located within minutes of a wild and unspoilt beach where local fishermen compete for fish with the pelicans and frigate birds. A short drive away are numerous other spectacular white sandy beaches with or without beach bars and local restaurants. Nick and Karoll generously...

Reefview is the perfect getaway location, we stayed in the penthouse which is wonderfully spacious with great sunset views from the balcony. Nick and Karol are great hosts, Karrol picked us up from the airport and we really enjoyed the first night BBQ and the rum punch. Spent most mornings driving to a beach and lunch at a local beach...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
ReefView Apartments consist of three unique and fully equipped self catering holiday/vacation homes - each with full bathroom and kitchen - set in lush tropical gardens affording spectacular panoramic views of Antigua's famous Cades Reef just 1 mile offshore as well as neighbouring islands of Montserrat, Guadeloupe and Redonda. ReefView Apartments is located on the shores of the Cades Bay Marine Reserve in a quiet residential hamlet - just 100m from a long deserted sandy beach, fringed with coconut palms, with walk in snorkeling available right off the beach. The shallows flats which front the apartments for miles in each direction are also a haven for sports fishermen - offering shots at hard fighting game species such as tarpon, permit, snook, snapper and barracuda - to name but a few.... Ideal for independent travelers, who enjoy long beach walks in beautiful natural surroundings, exploring the many interesting facets of Antigua's history and geography and immersing themselves in the local culture to provide an experience far removed from the generic experience offered by most other resorts. Owned and operated by long time Antigua residents - Karoll and Nick Williams - we are always on hand to help you get orientated and to know THE REAL ANTIGUA!!! We very much look forward to welcoming you to our little piece of paradise - down by the sea..... ... more   less
