Lough Mardal lodge is a luxurious glamping site In Donegal. Although this is a form of camping, once inside your yurt you barely are aware of that. The large bad, cosy blankets and sheets and fire place will transport you into a world full of relaxation. The tents are very handily positioned in a way that you dont feel overlooked by other visitors. On the site you have the option to explore the domain or go for some water fun in the lake. Additionally nearby you have the famous blue flag beaches and Donegal historic sites. This is a very cool trip, and yet different then most other trips I've done. We were super impressed by the cleanliness of the tent and communal areas.

An absolutely magical experience. The perfect balance of high end perfection with rustic 'off the grid' vibes. Claire and Marcus are amazing hosts and they have thought of everything, can't recommend enough. We'll definitely be back!

Lough Mardal is a special place. Nestled amidst jaw-droppingly beautiful forests and lakes, the sense of calm omnipresent and the host's personal touch is never far away. In fact, it's so special I was tempted not to share this review!

An absolutely amazing property in a beautiful location. The sunsets were amazing!! Many beautiful walks on the property too. The yurt is high quality and the bed was one of the most comfy beds I’ve slept in at a hotel/b&b etc. there’s a stove for heat if necessary but I didn’t need it. Outdoor decking too to relax and watch the sunset! There’s a compost toilet in the yurt and proper toilets/shower in the main building a short walk away. Everything was working great. Kitchen is stocked with basics to cook almost any meal. There’s a pet friendly charge of €20, worth it to bring my dog! I will 100% be back.

Fantastic. The thought and creativity that has gone into this sight deserves huge recognition The Bog Yurt was huge and lovely in candlelight and firelight The communal area was imaginative and had everything you required. It made us think about what more we could change at home. We should have booked more than one night! Visited Chandpur Indian restaurant a great find in Donegal Thank you to Archie the dog for his friendly welcome and pop ups when we least expected it A must on your list to stay if in The Donegal area

This was our third visit to the lodge. What a great place, chilled, loads of space, facilities are top notch. Lovely people - guests & proprietors. Sustainability is the theme here from the reusable glass bottles to the straw bale construction of the main building. We love it & we'll be back again.

Glamping in a yurt by Lough Mardal was a wonderfully unique experience! This was by far the best accommodation we have enjoyed in Ireland. 'Glam' it was! Beautifully appointed with an eco-friendly focus. Lodge including kitchen, dining and lounging, as well as showers, had everything you need, enhanced by artistic ambience! Thorough and friendly communication with Marcus and Claire too! Wish we could have stayed longer!
