My wife and I decided to call in and have a lunch , after my first mouthful I was in a muddle I didn't say anything to my wife , we finished our meal walked outside and my wife said that was the worst lunch I've ever had. Very disappointed!

Well. Proper local pub, lovely owners and staff. The roast is a good, solid not messed about lunch. Extra gravy a winner. Inexpensive, adnams beers to choose from give it a go especially when Southwold is busy. Dog friendly and no children in main bar. Worth a visit!

Popped in on the way back from Southwold. An Adnams pub so beer is bound to be good. Had a nice pint of Ghost Ship and my wife had a half of Lighthouse. Both very drinkable. A good country pub, well kept. Obviously the place to go for lunch for the locals on a treat. 😃 Older clientele. Food choice...

Recently met family for lunch, then stayed overnight. Landlord and lady very welcoming, remembered us from previous (poss 8/9 months previous), 7 people, pensions, through to grandchildren, all different meals all served piping hot and at the same time and very delicious they were too. What a range they offer, and the grandchildren collected eggs after lunch. Stayed overnight again,...

Stumbled upon this on our way to Southwold. We stopped for lunch. The food was very good...if a little too much for a light lunch ! But very nice. We will return and stay in one of the chalets they have. Good beer too!

Just three rooms available at this pub/restaurant. Badly in need of some decorative attention but comfortable and clean. Shower was old and dirty in the crevices but plenty of hot water and pressure. Nice touches like bottles of water and biscuits but clock didn't work and the emergency lighting had a very annoying green light that made my sleep restless...
