A wonderful hotel with wonderful staff and I love it. If I had a million I would love to throw it at this hotel and return it to its former glory, shabby and a bit unloved not by staff but by owners. I would also love to see it as a gastro hotel, as it is the vegetarian options need some looking at, (Parmesan still isn't veggy btw.) It should be the kind of place where gym users will stay afterwards and have a drink and some food and guets from outside want for nothing once they are in there. I will definitely stay there again but would love to see it loved more and to not have to take my own food and breakfast for lack of choice and quality.

Dear richiec367 I am so pleased to read that you loved the time that you spent at The Brook Mollington Banastre Hotel and Spa. The hotel is part of small family owned group of four hotels and all our staff are always a credit to us. I am delighted to read that you received a warm welcome and excellent service throughout your stay. The hospitality has been very badly hit during the pandemic with little no income and business. We are delighted to have remained open and in a position to welcome back guests such as yourself to enjoy our hotel, ground and Spa facilities. We have used this time to redecorate bedrooms and some public areas and will continue a rolling programme of improvements as we move forward. We also have a new Head Chef starting and I'm sure there will be no need to bring your own food .Naturally, we are always happy to cater for any specific dietary requirements and whenever you plan to return please feel free to let me know by emailing info@brook-hotels.co.uk Meanwhile, please stay safe and well and we look forwarding to seeing you back at The Molly B again very soon. Kind regards Denise Ummat Director

We stayed here for one night, after an appointment in Wrexham. The hotel was the only one we could find in the area for the night with a room for three and was excellent value. Our first choice, The Chester Grosvenor was full. The communication with the hotel in the run up was excellent but not executed quite so well! When we arrived to check in, the young man on reception was on the telephone for quite some time to a customer. We waited patiently for him to discuss lots of options and the call finally ended. He thanked us for waiting but he really should have interrupted his call and explained he would be with us ASAP. Our room was up a couple of flights of stairs and was large and adequate with a good sized bathroom. The sheets and pillowcases were spotless but there were dust

Dear Quest17825482510 Thank you for your helpful and constructive comments following your recent stay. I am sorry to read that you met with some delays at reception and in the Spa and appreciate your patience in this matter. With the easing of restrictions and as we bring our furloughed staff back we hope to ensure this does not reoccur. I have asked the GM to check the iron and board and replace them if needed. Meanwhile , please stay safe and well and with thank you for your good wishes as the hospitality industry returns to normal. Kind regards Denise Ummat Director

Hotel was very outdated but for my family of 3 kids 2 2 year olds and a four year old it was perfect. The hotel room it’s self was very clean and a great size for us all. The garden in the sun was perfect on a night time for the kids to run about in while we had a drink to catch our breaths. But the main thing that impressed me was the staff and one staff member particular. Vercillie not sure that’s spelt right ). But from when I rang up to book the room in March to my arrival and departure he done everything to make us feel welcome. We promised our 4 year old on arrival. That we could go for a swim but unknowingly we had not booked due to covid. But he saw my boy upset and managed to squeeze us in. Will defo stay again perfect to get to the zoo and Chester center

Me and my mum came here for a spa day that we had booked through spa seekers. We both thought it was amazing, and unbelievably good value for money! The treatments were incredible, easily the best massage I’ve ever had. All staff were very friendly and attentive. The gardens were lovely and we enjoyed a nice lunch out there. We had a nice swim before our treatments and found the pool area to be clean and well maintained. We wouldn’t hesitate to return here! The only disappointment was that the showers remain closed due to covid (they did warn us about this on the phone prior to our visit) and as the hotel was fully booked we couldn’t shower in a room, but other than this we had absolutely no complaints.

Whilst the staff are welcoming and helpful, the rest leaves a lot to be desired. The hotel is worn and very tired. Some rooms are very badly maintained. We waited an hour for our breakfast and then gave up, along with our families. Its not the cheapest place to stay and I expected much better.

Dear dinkys It is always disappointing for us to read that a guest left the hotel unhappy with any aspect of their visit. I am sorry to read that the hotel fell short of your expectations on this occasion. However, many of the rooms have been redecorated and we do have a maintenance team that works hard to rectify any reported issues as soon as possible. With regard to breakfast , Covid restrictions mean that we can only provide table service and a plated breakfast . Guests are required to pre-book a time slot and i am sorry if this did not run smoothly at the time of your stay. We do, of course, rely on all residents to abide by their times to avoid any knock on delays for guests such as yourselves. Kind regards Denise Ummat Director
