Must have been a great hotel back in 1960. It is very rundown. It had bugs on the bedframe; I killed about 5 live ones. The lobby has a VERY cordial Islamic lounge complete with coffee and fruit; but we were told to leave that section and sit in the cold, sterile 'other' section. The Islamic lounge had garbage on... Every summer I spend my holidays in Chalkida. It is been 11 years since I first stayed there. Everything is perfect; nothing has changed. The staff is super friendly, gentle and helpful! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The view is just perfect and it is not noisy at all as the other hotels. Finally, the restaurant is very... More

It on the front of a private beautiful beach!! That is the best requirement for me who like swimming all year long....It's huge with a big organized pool,in the center of a garden with excellent views.Yet,it starts becoming obsolete and needs renovating so as to be one of the most beautiful hotels in Evia Bear in mind that it is... Hotel Pelagos is one of the so called “Jewels” of the past in the area of Agios Minas and still has so much to offer! This might be my 5th or 6th time of staying here and it is always fun to be back. We spent 3 amazing nights out here the previous week. The hotel is fully booked the... More

To my opinion, apart from the building, the gardens, the pool and the beach, everything else in this hotel is simply bad (from the poorly maintained rooms, to the old and worn furniture and linen, the extra small TV, the offensively poor breakfast, the inadequate cleaning, the wasps that make you eat your breakfast inside a smelly breakfast room instead... We went there 2 weeks ago for a friend's wedding and were quite disappointed from this hotel. The location is very nice but the hotel needs very serious upgrading and renovation (not to speak about welcome reception service). Upon arrival we approached the reception and a lady (with a rather unhappy face) gave us the room key in a hurry... More

We booked it because we wanted something not too far from where we live. It was just for 3 days and we didn’t want to spend hours in travelling. When we first entered the hotel we didn’t know what to expect. The receptionist was really lovely, we took the key and we went straight up to our room, which was... More

We are back home today from one of the most popular spots in Halkida where we spent several memorable days at a hotel we keep coming back for years. Location: “Pelagos” is found on the most unique location by the coast of Agios Minas and on the highest point perched on a rock with steps reaching out to the beautiful... More

Since Sept. 25, 2011 - The Hotel has come under new management - Staff has changed; and furnishings, food and wine services have been improved --- This should be noted in relation to some of the bad reviews posted previously -----It should also be noted that Agios Minas (Saint Minas) is a beachfront resort area in the city and municipality... Our 3 day trip here was exceptional. I had visited this hotel several times in the past on seminars or business meetings years back. We wanted to relax this time, and at the same time not go too far from where we live. A look on the reviews on TripAdvisor made me hold back at first, but in the end... More
