We stopped at Hacienda for one night whilst doing an Exodus cycle trip. The rooms/cabanas are really nice and the grounds are huge, with deer, howler monkeys and other assorted animals sharing the same grounds as you. The food is OK, nothing great and maybe it was because we were a 16-strong group it took ages to be served and...

Pleasant setting on a former hacienda. As part of our package we were given a tour of the working hacienda, which is a couple kilometers away. They grow organic rice, tilapia, among other things. The rice and tilapia are served in the restaurant, which is very good though somewhat pricey. Breakfast was included - three options: a fruit platter, typical...

I lived in a research cabin at La Pacific in 1992-93 while studying monkeys. At that time, it was considered the nicest hotel in the area (a non-touristy section of the country), and I'm sure it still is. I just returned after a 23 year absence, and the hotel is better than ever. The rooms have been enlarged and updated, and...

My boyfriend and I stayed at La Pacifica because it sort of feels like summer camp (in a great way). We stayed in H12, which was adorable and quiet. The AC is cold, the shower is HOT with strong pressure and we couldn't get enough of the restaurant. Seriously, we ate there 4 times in 1.5 days. Everything was fresh,...

We stayed here for 2 nights. It was inexpensive ($75/night for a studio which really meant a large bedroom with a king and 2 twins- perfect for my family, separate living room, kitchen, patio with a hammock and large bathroom. It was more like our own little house with a view. We were visited by howler monkeys, agouti, deer hummingbird...

Really loved this place. Great setting, cute wildlife, friendly staff. The restaurant has good and cheap vegetarian options too. The breakfast was included in the room price, which was nice. It was a relatively short drive from the excellent Tenorio volcano park.

Hacienda is very nice, the connon areas are well maintained, rooms are spacious, clean, nice a cute. We love it there and go often to enjoy the place. The only bad thing is the service at the restaurant and the quality of the foid which is bad.

For our first night in CR, we thought it made sense to stay an hour outside of Liberia before we drove the rest of the way to Manuel Antonio. La Pacifica had a reasonably priced “villa” for us to stay in. We expected it to be pretty basic, but we were unpleasantly surprised by what we found in Villa 5....

When we booked, this hotel was just a stop on the way to La Fortuna/Arenal, but it turned into one of our favourite destinations. Our room was basic and comfortable, but the real attraction is the natural setting and the abundance of wildlife. Deer and roosters came to visit us at the hotel restaurant (which has good food); the next...

This hotel is located on the site of an old Guanacaste farm. It is large and the rooms are far flung. There is a local population of deers who live here, and you will see them roam peacefully around the rooms and the swimming pool. The rooms are large and well kept. The fee per night is about 65 USD...
