The A/C don't cool enough, was more warm inside the room than outside. I asked for a change and they gave me a room smelling really bad, like they don't change the sheets in days, obviously dirty. Is crazy expensive for the quality they offer.
While traveling in Costa Rica, my family made a last-minute cancellation on a different hotel so we could get closer to the airport in Liberia. Hotel Cana Brava was available and close enough to Liberia for a late afternoon flight out the next day, so we went for it. When I called to book with them, they said they had to increase the rate due to a biking event that weekend, and they quoted me over $200 for a night. I thought that was high, especially compared to the $130 quoted on the website, but after doing some driving in CR (VERY unpredictable conditions), we were pretty desperate to get closer to the airport, and given the last-minute nature of things, I went with it. We checked in, and I was charged about $120. Confusing to the say the least, but I certainly didn't complain! The room was pretty average. No frills, but a decent place to spend the night. The triple room with beds for five was a good fit for my five-person family. Secure parking was nice, as was the breakfast and service from the staff. The room was a bit dated and didn't feel super clean, and I probably wouldn't swim in the pool, but overall the hotel worked fine for us.…
We had 3 rooms for our family. All rooms were decent and the breakfast that is included was very good. They have a secure area for cars and it's right next door to a supermarket. For the price, I think this property is a good value. We also had dinner there and it was good. Nice 1st night in Costa Rica.
Hotel staff was friendly. Room was clean. One day missing towels but no big deal. They took care of laundry task for reasonable price but my wife's "over the shoulder boulder holder" came back all twisted and distorted to the point it brought pain to her eyes. Breakfast was good every morning (stayed six days) but service extremely slow one of the mornings. Shower was at a trickle setting, but again, no big deal unless you cannot deal with trickle showers. Hot water very rare to find. Sounds horrible but it was a decent place to stay during our time in Canas.
