We arrived at 8.20pm on a Monday evening . The room was ok , the bed , ok , the TV small , but at least clean . There was no evening meals . The fish and chip shop across the road was closed , and was the only alternative place to eat in the whole of Portknockie . We...

John and Linda are wonderful hosts! The breakfasts and dinners were absolutely delicious, and John was happy to support my dairy allergy when cooking. The room was large and in a great location next to the Moray coastal trail and cycle route.

We had set out for a Sunday lunch - and chanced upon the Victoria Hotel in Portnockie - my husband and I plus our 93 yr old mother-in-law and our well-behaved Border Terrier - so we were a slightly difficult group! Linda (the friendly owner) said the bar was dog-friendly but that the tables would be awkward for our mother-in-law...

I visited this hotel on business for an overnight stay. Lovely little town. Received a very warm welcome when I arrived. The room was excellent. Large with comfy bed and very clean. Room was spotless, shower very good , comfortable bed .John was a great host full breakfast every morning local produce used , didn't eat main meals in hotel but what we saw in bar area food looked very good Very friendly locals , chip shop is good Lots of lively walks to take

Myself and my 2 granddaughters stayed in the Victoria Hotel for a couple of nights. I often stay there myself and was so pleased that John and Lynda were able to set up what we needed. We stayed in portknockie in a cottage. We visited the Victoria thru the week and on our last night went for a meal here. Staff and clientele were very friendly. Food was excellent and reasonably priced. I would recommend the Victoria it's a lovely hotel in a lovely town

I visit the area quite often and the Victoria is a great place to stay. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Our room was very clean, well appointed and suited our needs perfectly. A perfect small village hotel.
