I am local to the Swan and I have visited regularly since its refurbishment several years ago but in recent weeks I have been massively disappointed. Last week I went in and you couldn't see the bar for dirty glasses, tables covered in dirty plates that hadn't been cleared away and a serious under staff issue. On that occasion the...

We were checked in by the charming and efficient Audrey, who offered fresh milk for our room, and gave us a choice of tables for dinner. We were very pleased with our room (7), spacious, light, and with good facilities. We stayed on the first warm weekend of the year, and sat enjoying the garden with a glass of wine....

We received Mr and Mrs Smith wedding vouchers and we choose The Swan hotel. I am so delighted with what we chose! its a delightful little find. Its in a small village called Wedmore, comprising of approx 10 shops. The staff were extremely friendly and couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome throughout our stay. It was like home...

Enjoyed our stay at The Swan. I would describe it as an interesting pub with rooms situated in a prime position in the pretty and busy village of Wedmore. Our room (3) was well decorated and a good size. Fresh milk was offered on check in which was a nice touch. We ate in the evening and recommend the sharing...

Lovely little country pub. Beautifully done, smart without being over the top. Good food, cosy nice room (we were in the small double), and good value compared to other pub hotels in Somerset of similar standard. Not great staff info (closed resto on Sunday night, no table reserved for guests, kitchen closed when had said would be open in the...

The Swan is located in the centre of the village so you can't miss it. A local pub with great food and rooms I have no hesitation in recommending it. Our room.....No 1 was a great size and well appointed. It overlooked the front of the hotel with two great windows. The main public areas were pleasant to be in...

On arrival our key couldn't be found, the server came back to us telling us to go over to the manager to sort it out as he couldn't, at this point we didn't know it was a missing key and were confused as to why we could not check in. In the mean time another couple who came in after...

I realize that in March it is still chilly, but my room was very cold even with the heater on the highest setting, and the reception area was very cold as well. Additionally the woman with strawberry blonde hair managing the front desk was very very rude. Will never be going back.

The bed was wonderful. The bath was nice and large. Being on top of a gastro pub is excellent. The food (breakfast and dinner) was really good and the staff is very friendly. The location is convenient for exploring Somerset county.
