During my recent stay at the Roman Lodge Hotel Caerleon, I experienced excellant customer service and courtesy from the staff, at ALL times. Prior to booking, I took the time to peruse the images of the hotel, including the bedroms so knew what to expect on arrival. The hotel is currently experiencing a degree of upgrading and, in all fairness,... More

Upon arrival our welcome was less than friendly "Checking in us not till four but I suppose the room are ready...." So why say it and make guests feel uncomfortable? We... More

This is the second time I have eaten at the hotel, first time the staff where rude and food was poor, but i went on the 18.1.2015, the staff were new and great, the food was plentiful and cooked to perfection, all I can say is that you will have a great meal, superb atmosphere with excellent service.

Stayed at the Roman Lodge as an HQ whilst going to Cardiff to watch rugby. Bit far out of Newport but the ease of access and the great rail links meant that didn't matter. Lovely location near the River Usk. Staff couldn't have been more friendly. Rooms not huge and there was some noise from the heating but that didn't... More

I stayed at the Roman Lodge Hotel whilst on an overnight business trip. My single room had everything I needed and a adequate ensuite bathroom. The directions on the website state the hotel is on the left after the garage but actually it is just before the garage after you have rounded a corner (easy to miss) the parking is... More
