The Fort Conan Hotel is a family run hotel in the village of Duncannon,by Richard and Helene and their two daughter Emma and Lisa.We have ten bed rooms, all which are en suite and each individual decorated.
On a clear sunny day you can see Hook head light house and the house where the devil appeared, Loftus hall.
There are many beaches on the peninsula, which are safe for swimming, fishing, wind surfing and kite surfing.
Just back from 2 nights here, it was a wonderful find, the accommodation was spotless and the room was so comfortable. Breakfast on both mornings was delicious. The staff are so friendly and personable. We will definitely be back. THANK YOU Richard and Helena.
An amazing family run hotel. Room’s are lovely and very comfortable. Everybody are so very welcoming. It has a lovely cafe attached, the food and coffees are great. It’s a two minute walk from the beach and has lovely countryside surrounding. The owners Richard and Helene make sure that you stay is very special. Once you have stayed there, you will be planning your return.

I've been lucky enough to stay at this lovely family run hotel before and it has always been a great place to stay. But hosts Helene and Richard have given the place a complete makeover and it is now even nicer. There is a great breakfast service to suit all tastes, and the on site Wild Rose cafe/ restaurant offers an extensive range of food and drink options. This special Hotel is ideal for people visiting SW Wexford/SE Waterford.
Service was top notch from start to finish and food was absolutely gorgeous 5 star rating would highky recomend went to cafe shop 5 days out of my 7 day stay deserts were delicious highly recommend the fruit pavalova
We spent a week in the area and unfortunately only found this hotel on our last morning when we decided to have brunch before hitting the road home....it was recommended to us by a passer-by who was heading there for brunch with her lovely grandchildren.....what a find. We found it difficult to decide what to eat from the very enticing menu, we settled on a mini breakfast which was excellently cooked and presented. The tables were well spaced to allow for social distancing and the staff were appropriately attired with face shields. We paid a visit to the toilets prior to departure, they were spotless.....always a barometer of a well kept establishment. We will most certainly be back to Fort Conan Hotel as the reviews of the accommodation are very good. We were very sorry that we were leaving Duncannon and would not have another opportunity to visit.....until the next time....keep up the excellent work.…
I recently visited Wexford with a few friends over the weekend, staying only down the road from this hotel. On our first morning there we decided to go for brunch at about 11am and decided to try Fort Conan, and we made the best decision! The staff were all lovely and greeted us so politely and showed us to our table. There was 8 of us so we were split into 2 tables of 4, to adhere to social distancing. All the tables were spaced out 2m, and all the wait staff wore suitable PPE gear, which was greatly appreciated. All 4 of us at my table decided to get the Wild Rose, which was salmon and poached eggs on a gorgeous muffin bread, served with hollandaise sauce and rocket leaves! It was simply divine! We had a lovely waitress who gave us some recommendations of things to do in Wexford. We had such a great experience here, that we decided to come again the next morning! This time i got the waffles with fruit and maple syrup, and again it was heavenly! We had another lovely waitress who was chatty and polite! The hotel is also right next to the beach, so the views are fantastic. I can't recommend this place enough, and i'm really looking forward to my next trip to Wexford to visit Fort Conan again!…
We had a delicious lunch here. The food on the kids menu was all homemade and they loved it. The waffles were a big hit for dessert. Great selection and all the adults enjoyed theirs too. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. We’ll be back!!
I regularly use the cafe having moved to the area from England 2 years ago. There is no question that there should be an upgrade in Stars as it is an impeccable family run establishment with a fantastic kitchen and staff. I believe the rooms also reflect the high standard and I would most definitely redirect any visitors to this hotel in one of the most picturesque and family friendly areas in South East Ireland. The wonderful family who own the hotel ensure each and every visitor is treated with great warmth and professionalism.
My partner booked this gem last minute as our anniversary getaway and it was the most amazing little hotel! We got an amazing room with a balcony overlooking the sea and you could see the lighthouse from our room! It was so peaceful and quiet I could not recommend this place enough! It was exactly the place we needed to find for a break from city life! The owners are just so friendly and welcoming and full of information of things to do and see. The breakfast was so delicious each morning I had delicious waffles and bacon! They also had suki tea which I adore! I cannot recommend this place enough! We will hopefully be back for another wonderful stay!
