Stayed over Good Friday/Easter Saturday to do some walking at Monk's Dale and Burbage Edge. Good clean facilities. Mattresses firm but comfortable enough. Not much hanging space for clothes and they could do with putting in hangars that are rubberised or wooden so that they do not chime when you are creeping about in the early hours trying not to...

Hi, Thankyou for your review. We are all pleased that you had a nice stay with us and you think it is good value for money - we think so too. We are glad you got out and experienced the beauty of the surrounding countryside - that is what YHA is all about after all. We agree about the size...

lovely big hostel, very clean, receptionist very welcoming and helpful. Never stayed in a YHA hostel before but after our stay last week I will definitely be trying it more often. Has everything you could want and more, for the price I was very impressed.

Lovely family room with amazing view, very clean. The staff were friendly and helped us find good walks etc. Bunk beds were fine. There were lots of children, but that suited us as we had our two lively boys with us. The breakfast was standard but plentiful and a good start to the day.

I love the YHA and enjoy using the hostels as much as possible, I am also a YHA member so it upsets me to grumble. Sadly Yha Eyam really lets the side down, the two mature ladies on duty when we arrived, were grumpy, not interested or friendly, it was truly a dull as dish water moment. We were put...

Clean, comfy & helpful staff, everything you'd expect from the YHA. Nice breakfast too. Yes it's a small kitchen & yes the parking is at the bottom of the drive but neither are things to put me off & can be worked around. Met some lovely people during my 2night stay.

Hi, Thankyou for your review. We are glad you had an enjoyable stay with us in spite of the small kitchen and walk up the hill ! regards, The Eyam Team.

We stayed here for the weekend with our 2 children age 4 and 6. The hostel is small and well kept, the room and bathroom was very clean. We ate our evening meal and breakfast both days which was great value (the evening meal children eat for free). One of our children has Coeliac disease and so we had requested...

Hi Jessica, Thankyou for your review. We are pleased that your child enjoyed their meal. We are always very careful to note allergies as this is a worry for both parents and adults alike. We hope to see you all again soon. Best wishes, The Eyam Team.

Upon arrival at the hostel, there were children running around everywhere, which was the first shock! Then had dinner to be totally surrounded by families, didn't realise how many young children there would be staying, and that they would be occupying all the social spaces which made them impossible to use. Was served dinner by a very crusty curly haired...

Hi, Thankyou for your review. We are sorry you had such a disappointing stay with us. Unfortunately you chose to stay during half-term week when we always have a lot of families staying. We rely on parents to contain any over-exuberance but this can be difficult when the children are excited about their visit. it is the ethos of YHA...

Hi, we are sorry you had such an unsatisfactory stay with us. The staff member on duty that night has been reprimanded for using an ipad while on a late night duty. We apologise for the fact that there were other children running around the hostel.

As a group of 4 families (8 children and 8 under 8s) we stayed here for 2 nights over the new year 2016. The staff could not have been any more welcoming, We were accommodated in 4 family rooms each with 2 bunk beds and a sink. It was all clean, tidy and the beds were comfortable. There are shared...

I had an excellent stay for 4 nights at YHA Eyam. I was self catered for all my meals so can't comment on the food. The self catering facility is outside, but not far and very clean. Tidy and well run little hostel with a gorgeous view and a couple of trails leading off from it. Beware the sharp ascent...

This captivating Victorian folly resembles a tiny turreted castle perched on the hillside overlooking historic Eyam. Two thirds of Eyam's population was wiped out during the Great Plague. Trace the tale as you wander around the village, or enjoy the excellent walking around the surrounding White and Dark Peak.
