We have just returned from a night stay at Willersley Castle Hotel, we stayed to celebrate our anniversary. The only positive thing going for this hotel is the location, and the beautiful surroundings. Stepping inside this hotel felt like we had travelled back in time....More

Really liked this hotel despite the bedrooms and bathrooms needing a massive makeover. Staff friendly, setting superb and lovely breakfast. The bedrooms and bathrooms in the annexe are 1980s decor and could do with a BIG refresh. This could be an amazing hotel - but...More

I booked willersby castle as other establishments were full for bank holiday weekend. It was extremely reasonable. The staff were friendly and our rooms were lovely. Spotless and modern. The downstairs areas could do with a little update but don't be put off by that....More

Stayed 2 nights here, while sightseeing in Peak District National Park. Best part of the stay here was the walk to both Cromford & also Matlock Bath along the course of the river Derwent. The hotel is not an actual Castle but a big Manor...More

It's 2 miles from Willersley Castle. Google map indicate 45 mins walk via Willersley Lane but only 7 mins by car. In my opinion, it is safer to drive at night.
