After a day touring by the Moselle, this was the perfect night stop. The room was spacious and quiet, the bed comfortable. There was a lovely bathroom with a good shower. Dinner was good and the wines, from their own vineyard were excellent. Breakfast was also good with several choices. All of the staff were friendly, helpful and professional. I would certainly stay here again and we wished that our itinerary could have allowed another night. We did buy some wine to bring home and it is very pleasant.

This hotel is on the edge of Ockfen, have eaten there a few time. Nice friendly staff, German cuisine. Buy a bottle of local grown wine to take home. Not far from the river Saar and to the north the old Roman city of Trier. Hope to go back to Ockfen next year.

Nice, quiet place, friendly staff, good food. Good rooms, shower is fine. Nothing to complain about. Or maybe just one bit: some difficulties with getting connected to WIFI. It is in a wine yard and the wines are lovely and at a friendly price. Lots of things in the area, walking biking canoeing.

When making the reservation, I had been informed that they had Ruhetag on tuesday so the restaurant would be closed. What they forgot to tell me was that there wouldn't be anyone there all tuesday, just some kind cleaning ladies who let me into the room then left when their work was done. Nobody at reception, no bar or lounge, no other guests. Just a dark quiet building with a number of locked doors, and access via a dark landing to a guests' tv-room with a fridge filled with drinks. The staff on wednesday were friendly enough, but they should be clear on what Ruhetag really means. Room was fine.
