The chateau de pitray is an authentic chateau that has been in the hands of the same family for six hundred years. And the count and countess greeted us as if we were members of their family. The room was spacious and quiet. The ceilings...More
Amazing property with 27 spacious rooms for your guest. Amazing view of the river. The owner willing to help in any way possible. Perfect location for weddings and celebrations. Lots of parking space for guest and caterers.
The Château Pitray in Saint Seurin de Prats must not be mistaken with a Château of the same name that produces a nice Bordeaux wine. What German-born Inge and Frenchman Michel have to offer is a warm welcome, tastefully decorated large-seized rooms, banquet facilities for...More
We came to France for our friends wedding at a nearby chateau but the night before Michelle hosted all 150 guests here at Pitray for a family meal. Everyone had an absolute blast at Pitray nothing was to much trouble for Michelle and his team....More
Stunning property with great wine too. Nice to visit a smaller authentic winery. Wonderful property and able to look around the farm. Would love to stay there one summer and enjoy the pool. Worth visiting as gives a nice contrast to the bigger wineries.
Bonjour, in your report you stated unpleasant treatment by the "management". I guess, it was not Michel Benjamin (the onwer) or Inge, his partner, who were responsible for such unpleasantness. I know that for marriages, business conferences etc. they take recourse to French event organisations. In your case you should have had a word with the owner. Wasn't he available? I know him as a very accommodating gentlemen. On 10th July 2015, I shall assist a recital of a Russian mezzo-soprano (Viktoriya Koreneva) at the Château which I am sure offers great surroundings for performances of classical music. Did Michel ever give you an answer (or apoligies) for the shortcomings you listed in your report?
