It was well worth the 200km detour to get to Killowera Station due to rain and some roads being closed. However a warm welcome by Toni and Greg and our stay in the shearers quarters for two nights was wonderful. Very comfortable. and a well equipped kitchen to prepare meals. Outside showers and toilets - but all clean and adequate...

Stayed two nights last week. The lagoon is slightly over full - drowning a couple of their campsites - and this made for a very special campsite. Firewood delivered by Greg each day, and excellent mud maps for drives around the property by Toni. If you're travelling the Dowling Track - don't miss it.

I have stayed at Kilcowera twice now and it wont be my last. The hosts, Greg and Toni are amazing people. We stayed in the shearers quarters which were clean and warm. The community kitchen had everything that you wanted. Our group chose to have a meal prepared by Greg and Toni, which was awesome on both occasions. They also...

If you only go to Kilcowera & stay at the shearers quarters you have wasted your trip. the Pot of Gold is camping out at the lake. The sunrise & set alone are worth the drive, not to mention the serenity. The hosts will do everything they can to make your stay a treat & the written commentaries are perfect...

We spent 2nights in the Shearers Quarters. Very comfortable well presented and something special. We took the self drive tour with map provided, although very dry the views from Mt Roy were fantastic. The birdlife is especially good to see big flocks of our beautiful Australian birds. Highly recommended for the true outback experience. Thank you for making your property...

We camped at the Shearer Quarters with a group. The facilities are great so clean and the grass is amazingly pickle free (do the owners a favour and don't bring out your floor matting if you have been somewhere with bad prickles). There is a washing machine (bring $1 coins). We caught yabbies in the dam. The kids were so...

A true outback beauty away from the rat race. Always wishing to go back. We camped on the banks of the lagoon with the whole surrounds to ourselves. So peaceful and serene with many opportunities for that perfect photo of native fauna and sunsets/sunrises that are magical to say the least. The self drive tour is worth the effort, learning...

We spent a night here recently as part of a 5 week spin around the Qld outback. The shearers' quarters are quite comfortable and the kitchen is very well equipped. The toilet and showers are more than adequate and it does not take long for the hot water to flow through. Greg and Toni have gone to a lot of...

Greg & Toni always make you feel most welcome. Great outback Real Australia. Excellent property tours available, with names of plants and trees marked with signs to identify them. Interesting bush walking with some of the most colourful birds to ever witness in the world! The showers in the quarters our adjust to the buildings with only a short walk....

Stayed in the Shearers quarters for two nights which were comfortable and homely but probably not for prima donna's. The bore water provides for the most magnificent hot shower and unlimited. The night sky was full of stars and the milky way so beautiful you could almost drink it. Great grassed area for the kids to play around the accommodation....
