Upon arriving at the Bulkley Valley Motel, I was greeted by the owner - really friendly and helpful. She recommended a couple of good places to eat, and chatted with me a bit. The room I got was spotless and really well kept. No complaints here.

We stayed here one night in route to Alaska. Good value and was clean. New Hazelton is a nice small town with limited but adequate restaurant choices. Check in was easy and the owners seem to run a good motel. We checked out early in the morning and did a key drop, no problem. I would certainly stay here again.

This older building has been freshly renovated within the last year or so. Very clean and well kept. Rooms are small, but contain all the basics: good beds, full bathroom (tub & shower), microwave, fridge, coffee maker, tv, nice fast wifi, and air conditioning. Also windows that open to catch a nice breeze - much appreciated by those of us...

Awesome place! Home away from home close to all facilities you would need for a stay in New Hazelton. Steps away from a grocery store, a restaurant across the parking lot and a bakery and laundromat across the street. The rooms are clean, quiet and comfortable. The hosts are friendly and go above and beyond to make your stay with...

I was a little hesitant when I pulled in, as there seemed to be a "gathering" in the parking lot, so I was thinking that it may be party central at the Bulkley Valley. However, by 11pm it was very quiet, and I had a good night sleep. A bit dated, but spotlessly clean and rooms have A/C. Stayed for...

It is close to all amenities, across the parking lot is a restaurant and a couple steps away is a grocery store. The rooms are clean and quiet but the atmosphere is like visiting your close friends. The owners Howard and Lian are wonderful hosts and go above and beyond to make your stay pleasant. I would highly recommend a...

Very clean, and the staff was very friendly. Stay for one night traveling through to Alaska with small children. Walking distance to the school where there was a playground for the kids to release some energy .

Accommodations are pretty limited in New Hazleton but the Bulkley Valley Motel is surprisingly good. It doesn't look like much from the outside and the rooms are somewhat dated although the bathroom had been recently updated and everything was spotlessly clean. We had a kitchen unit with a full fridge and stove. The utensils were somewhat limited but there were...

We had planned to stay in Smithers, but phoned ahead and found every room in town was booked. Yikes. We happened to be passing the Bulkley Valley Motel just then, and decided to stop. The owner and her husband were pleasant, the rate was about what we've come to expect (expensive compared to Vancouver hotels, but it's a different playing...

Good-sized room with a large desk, wifi, coffeemaker, fridge, tub. We had the end room on the first floor. There are supposed to be 4 places to eat all within walking distance...appeared that on a Monday, on the BC Eagle (right next door, Chinese food) was open.
