What a place!! Blissful beautiful and so overwhelming. The rooms are comfortable and big, with lovely balcony facing the lake.. we truly enjoyed our short stay. The food we had to order from the bar as the restaurant closed at 9 but they still let us eat in the restaurant area. Service was ok not very good but overall we...

It's definitely the worst hostel I've been to after 3 months in New Zealand. It's feels more like a staff accommodation for the hotel than a hostel. The "kitchen & living room" was full of staff's belongings and we didn't feel welcome. The bedroom (2 bunk bed) is very small, barely enough room to fit 4 backpackers bags. The bed...

Pro: The hostel is beautifully located on the shore of Lake Hawea. The staff is friendly and they offer free internet. The rooms are decent. Con: The internet is spotty at best, the kitchen honestly the worst, crammed and dirtiest we have seen. The beds were of terrible quality and we did not like the fact that you had to...

It started when we tried to book a room as part of a group travelling to the premises for a get together, were told we had and later informed we did not because of double booking and we would be in the dormitory. internet showed that there were vacancies so tried again for 1 night stayed and was confirmed. arrived...

We had been planning to look for accommodation in nearby Wanaka, but happened to notice this motel and its wonderful location on our way there. We explored further and discovered its magnificent views over the lake, and booked in without hesitation. Loved our time there, looking out over the lake from our very comfortable room. We were well looked after by...

Had a little mix up with the dates we booked, Andrew went above and beyond to accommodate us and ensure we had a lovely evening. A level of service rarely encountered when mistakes are made by the guest. I would highly recommend stopping by!

The view alone is worth staying but it is also a very nice hotel/motel. Comfy beds, great bathroom, spacious. Nice bar too for a drink. Didnt eat here. Nice little drive to Wanaka, Mt Iron etc. Oh and did i mention that view of the lake and surrounding mountains.

We booked the 4 bed guest room quite last minute. Made a mistake on the date when booking online. Upon calling, the reception staff is helpful and reserve the room for us for that night. Overall the service of the hotel is commendable. However, the guest room is old and not well maintained. The fridge is not working. At night,...

We stayed a night in Lake Hawea Hostel. The hotel/hostel is right on Lake Hawea and what a breath taking view it was! The room was small but perfect for the 2 of us. Very comfy bed and we had our own sink to brush our teeth. Fully equipped kitchen and lovely friendly staff.

We weren't able to get booked in here for accommodation but managed to have a meal here. We had a lovely view of the lake and the fire inside was roaring away which was very nice indeed. Our meals were pleasant enough, I had the fish of the day which was John Dory and my partner had the steak. I...
