We attended the hotel this weekend 20th January 2023 for my mothers birthday. She is in a wheelchair so we struggled to find a hotel suitable but this was perfect for all of her needs. The housekeeping were fantastic and even cleaned my mothers commode daily with fresh bedding. The rooms were spotless and the staff were all super friendly and accommodating - especially Reece who was brilliant. There is plenty of entertainment in the surrounding hotels and we thoroughly enjoyed the singer Chris Ritchie on the Friday evening (the party’s ages ranged from 24-78 and there was something for everyone). The Sunday Lunch is 1000% worth booking if you are staying here it was one of the best lunches we have ever had!!! We are hoping to come back to this fabulous family run hotel in the summer. Thanks all.…
Really enjoyed our 3 night stay at this lovely family run hotel. The location is perfect & our room has a great sea view. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis to a high standard. All staff were very welcoming & friendly especially Rees 😃 The Sunday lunch is a must so tasty with very generous portions & great value for money. Would definitely return as the hotel is one of the few we found in the area for a member of the family who needs a wheelchair & adapted room facilities. Thanks all very much.
I had same problem as travellers100. Booked a funeral wake and was told organiser would have free parking. Received a parking fine a few days later. Don't think there was any consideration about the fact that this was a funeral wake.
Can’t beat the location, ample free parking, large comfortable room, friendly helpful staff and excellent breakfast! Can’t comment on the restaurant or bar areas as didn’t use.. we had a room overlooking the town.. bit noisy with traffic and people.. not the hotel’s fault …try and get a room overlooking the seafront. Excellent value for money for a post Xmas break to the sea side .. 👍👍👍
As we pulled up. Theres a large free carpark for residents. Entering the this beautiful hotel we were greeted by a very nice lady on reception.. We got our key and went to our room. Lovely large clean room with a fantastic view of the sea. Theres everything you need in your room Hairdryer coffee tea..and comfortable chairs to watch the sea.. Beds and pillows are very comfortable with clean crisp bedding and the hotel was very quiet at night. We didn't have breakfast.. But can highly recommend the Sunday roast which was amazing.. Also had a drink in the bar which was not overly expensive which some hotels are. Definitely would recommend and return to this beautiful old building..
We booked the Royal for its location, after leaving the filthy Sand Bay Pontins, we were desperate for a clean, comfortable, welcoming hotel.....and thats what we got! We explained what had happened & were put into the Princess Diane Suite with sea view & a huge bath! 😍 The room was very comfortable, very clean, and had everything you could ask for. The staff were amazing! The receptionists were exemplary in their professionalism, and so welcoming. This is now our go to place for Weston-super-Mare, why would you go anywhere else !
All the public areas are in good condition and well kept , the breakfast was excellent and very good value. All the staff we met were friendly and very polite. Unfortunately that’s where the good points end .. the room we had was at the back of the building and was above the bar next door’s entrance it was also opposite another very loud bar . Sleep was virtually impossible until the very early hours, about 3 hours later the traffic noise started! Hence we were totally shattered the next day . I know it’s an old building but literally every floor board creaked very loudly upon every footstep. The carpet was threadbare and the room in general was like a 1970’s film set. That said ‘ it was clean and if I could get a room at the front I would definitely stay again . Good value’ Clean but unfortunately not for a light sleeper.…
We had our Wedding Day here on Saturday 3rd December and the hotel were amazing. They were so friendly and could not do enough for us. The rooms were amazing and everyone had the most amazing time. The wedding was set up absolutely stunning. It was everything and more we ever wanted. Also a massive thank you to Haley the Wedding Planner for all of her help. She was amazing!xx
Lovely hotel the staff were friendly & helpful. The breakfast was very good. Mew & my partner are hoping to stay next yearfor the Weston - Super - Mare carnival. Our room was great it had a royal themed name.
Just returned from a four night break at the Royal hotel, we had a nice sea view room with a very spacious shower and plenty of hot water, the bed was a little uncomfortable with the mattress having seen better days but the room was clean and warm. Since our last trip in the summer they have introduced a serve yourself breakfast at the weekend which we definitely weren’t a fan of, the food was barely warm and just not appetising and no choice of anything but fried eggs. Not a good idea in our opinion. Monday was back to served breakfast and it was good. Just as an aside, please get some decent toasters, although I asked for extra toasted toast we still got what is basically warm bread! We ate in the restaurant each night and the service and food was excellent. The staff in this hotel are all absolutely fantastic, friendly, polite and very welcoming. We will definitely be returning to the Royal in the near future. I just hope they scrap the self service weekend breakfast.…
