We stayed here again as we have before with the family en route from Cornwall. The welcome is warm everyone is helpful & polite. Used the warm swimming pool with the family. The restaurant serves great quality fresh home cooked meals with a proper choice for all, breakfast equally as good. We have booked again for next year. A lovely quality place to stay.

This is a very relaxed family run hotel which was popular with families over our half term visit. We stayed on a B&B basis, and breakfast was table service. Very good service, a wide choice and tasty food. The pool was a god-send for the rainy days, and the book-ahead service worked really well. Unfortunately, the room (26) bore no resemblance to any of the rooms on the website. Nothing matched, the velux blind was broken and couldn’t open, the carpet was threadbare, there were too many curtain rings for the pole, and the anaglypta (3 types on the walls and ceiling) was really dirty in places. There was no phone in the room (despite being told to ring 0 for reception) and only a shower cubicle. Had we not been so close to the pool, and so close to our children’s room, we would definitely have asked to move. As it happened, the children’s room was much better appointed with period furniture, a bath and a telephone. What a shame ours felt like staying in gran’s spare room. I teetered between giving this 3 or 4 stars, but the pool, friendly ambience, breakfast and good location pushed me to a four. I think we just drew the short straw.

We have just returned from a 3 night family break at The Beachlands Hotel in Weston-Super-Mare. Lovely, clean, spotless room. Excellent breakfast, cooked fresh daily. We also enjoyed a very tasty evening meal. Very friendly staff throughout the hotel. Great swimming pool that we used daily. We ensured daily slots by pre booking. All in all we had a great stay.

We visited at the weekend for dinner only for the second time since the main Lockdown restrictions were lifted. We also stayed for the night back in July en-route from a stay further afield. The food was absolutely top-notch as usual (although a slightly limited menu due to Covid restrictions in place) and the service from the staff impeccable (again as always). My husband is Coeliac and therefore gluten-free, and the food was cheerfully and beautifully adapted to ensure that this was taken into account - including cheese and biscuits on very short notice! We are very cautious at the moment, but on all three visits we have felt quite safe and secure with the Hotel's procedures in place. Very highly reccommended.

2nd visit this year , once before lockdown and just recently, we were impressed with the hotel early part of year but even more so now with the way they have adapted to Covid 19 . One way system in place, hand sanitisers in appropriate places, everything clean and tidy, swimming pool booking slots for family bubbles. Staff were excellent, friendly and attentive, food was excellent ,breakfasts and evening meals . Room was clean and tidy anything you needed replenished was done efficiently ( Covid restricting daily services ) . Towels available for pool from reception. This is truly a very good hotel and hopefully we will be returning soon .
