The Lauriston Hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of Weston-super-Mare, within easy walking distance of some of the main attractions the town has to offer. Weston-super-Mare is only a short distance from long walks around Cheddar Gorge and Brean Down which can be enjoyed for most of the year. The Lauriston Hotel is also well situated in the town for visits to The Playhouse, the Grand Pier and Winter Gardens Pavilion, which offer entertainment all year round. Inside the hotel, you can expect a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Our communal bar area offers the ideal place to sit and relax while enjoying some food, and when the sun is shining we also have outdoor seating with views across Weston Bay. All of our 37 en-suite bedrooms offer many facilities including a complimentary hospitality tray, talking alarm clocks, level indicators and hair dryers. Many of our rooms have been renovated recently.

Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked direct with the hotel, big double room , complete with dog bed and feeding bowls in the shower room! So nice to take the dog who enjoyed the huge beach. Single room was only a single bed! I guess we forget , so used to getting a double when abroad Had full English breakfast, great !

We only stayed one night en route to Heythrop Park. Very happy with our choice. Plenty of parking if you arrive early enough. Clean and obviously dog friendly. Very friendly cheerful staff. Room good and breakfast great. Bar wasn't overpriced and charming.

Extremely nice hotel. Staff were exceptional, very friendly and helpful. My room was good, bed comfortable, linen and towels perfect. No complaints. Breakfast was a surprise fresh fruit salad home made. I had muesli and toast as I can't eat big breakfasts anymore. People around me seemed happy with it, Earl Grey tea too. Nice little bar, prompt service, it was nice to see the dogs as they are good as an "icebreaker", met some interesting people because of this. I recommend this hotel, it was great. Paid £105 for a single room for two nights including breakfast...bargain. It's the staff that made it though as they all seemed so genuinely friendly and nice.

Biggest asset is their friendly staff, fantastic location, dog friendly (dog towels at entrance, rare touch), good breakfast, free parking. We had room 14 of decent size, very clean. Parts of corridors need decoration attention, hence 4*

Our so-called superior twin room, no. 30, was small, dark and hot, and had damp patches around the window. The ensuite was also very small, with a shower that had poor pressure and made a terrible screeching noise. There were also hairs on the shower tray. Breakfast was okay. The beds had noisy springs and were so uncomfortable that we left after two nights despite having paid for three. We could also hear revellers in the nearby Wetherspoons late at night. The only good thing was the free parking. Avoid.

I stayed at the Lauriston with my mum who is disabled and wheelchair dependent. We had single rooms, my mum’s had an adjoining wet room. Both rooms were spotlessly clean and were maintained beautifully throughout our stay. Disabled access throughout the hotel was excellent and the staff showed a high level of understanding of the needs of guests with disabilities - not only with my mum but with other disabled guests too. We noticed that there were quite a few blind guests. I believe the Lauriston had an association with the blind society in the past. The food was fairly standard/basic both at breakfast and in the evening. We only ate in twice in the evening during our stay. Al in all a pleasant stay in nice rooms with helpful and friendly staff and, I think, an especially good place to come if you have a disability.

This is a lovely hotel situated just off the beach front. Excellent location. Really lovely staff . Excellent receptionist really friendly and helpful. Nice garden to sit in sun and have a drink. Breakfast excellent . Cold buffet help yourself and hot food served to table. Rooms slightly dated but very comfortable. All tea bags etc replenished every day. Would definitely recommend for a stay.
