I spent 3 nights at the Lauriston Hotel in early July for a change of scenery. The location is great as you simply have to cross the road and you’re on the promenade. The staff are warm, welcoming and friendly and can’t do enough for you. I had a room on the ground floor which I understand had recently been renovated. It was modern, sizeable and immaculately clean. I arrived two hours before check-in in order to get a decent parking space on site and found one very easily. There is also an overflow car park behind the hotel for those who aren’t as overly organised as me. The breakfast was organised in 4 sittings so you had to state a time and what you wanted for breakfast the day before which given the current circumstances was completely understandable. In short, a well located and very reasonably priced hotel in Weston which I would definitely come back to as and when I visit Weston again.…
Arrived early afternoon. Rooms are not ready until 4 which is late but not a problem was told we could park and come back later. No where to leave your cases until check in or out. Not the most friendliest of welcomes we found by the young girl on reception but room spacious but dated. Toiletries and biscuits supplied. Lovely comfy bed. Hotel in great position to the seafront, Pier and shops. Hairdryer in the room and room nice and warm. Pre-order for breakfast and only selected times available. Breakfast was beautiful and plentiful. Vegetarian sausages were the best I have ever tasted. Everything cooked well and tasty. Car park fairly big but if we had arrived at 4 there would have been no parking left. Dog friendly hotel.
Brilliant and helpful staff. We stayed in room 12 a twin room which was very clean. Only a couple of gripes. The mirror in the window threatened to fall apart if we tried to move it, the hairdryer gave up after 2 minutes, the chairs in the room were uncomfortable - would have been better with just one comfy chair and there was water damage one one wall ( obviously from a leaky roof). However, the breakfast and other facilities were great. The staff couldn’t do enough fo you and I would definitely go there again. I stayed for two nights as a girly holiday with a friend
It was like an old peoples home. Dark, dingy and dated. Food below average, bedrooms dirty. Looked like it had been dragged out of the 70s. Brekfast on a saucer , toast burnt, tea like dishwater. Dont stay there
Lovely overnight stay on our way to Cornwall for a holiday - yes the hotel is dated but our room ( 15 ) was ok and immaculately clean which is a must !!! The breakfast was nice served at your table due to covid and we could sit in the bar for it with our dog. Again due to covid you have to prebook the night before, a time slot and choice of food - staff were lovely nothing was too much bother for them - Weston super mare was nice but only for the night couldn’t or wouldn’t go for a week !!! So in all yes I would recommend this hotel but don’t expect 3* and above accommodation but the cleanliness was 5* !!
