We had an overnight stay and made to feel very welcome. Our room was spacious and lovely with an enormous very comfortable bed. We had a three course evening meal in a COVID safe dining room with a log fire. The food was excellent and we received friendly helpful service.

So glad we decided to stay the night here. Nice warm welcome when we arrived, the staff and owner were so friendy. Dinner was delicious and well presented, we had the fish and chips and steak pie. Our room was fairly small but perfectly adequate with a good shower. We did however find the room to be quite cold at night when going to bed and felt the heating had been turned off too early. Enjoyed a nice breakfast in the morning (loved the fresh fruit salad). Would definitely stay again if in the area.

One of the best pubs I’ve ever been to. Family owned and all the staff are so friendly. The décor is beautiful, been done so well and the open fires make it so cosy. Food is excellent, with a great selection on the menu. Love the Prosecco glasses. A really lovely atmosphere. It’s a joy to come here. Well done to the owners for making it a superb pub.

Booked at short notice and received a nice friendly welcome. Large spacuos room with outlook to Front Street. Shower and toilet a bit on the small side but adequate. Dined at hotel and food excellent both breakfast , dinner and snacks. Covid measures fully in place and observed. Met both dogs featured above.

Stayed for 2 nights, room was very clean, comfortable and had everything that I needed. Breakfast was excellent, I ate in the restaurant both nights as the food was so good. Staff were very friendly & helpful and I felt very safe there as social distancing and all other civid measures were strictly adhered to. Will be returning again as I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
