Our room was called the Bottle Store which came with a comfy bed, shower and TV with tea and coffee making facilities. The people who...

The excellence of the Stanley Arms is too well known to have to repeat again but the I couldn't let another trip pass without drooling over the quality of the steak and ale pie served up on New Year's Eve. Not normally a steak person but this was just too good to be true. Lady Carolyn's pastries and crumbles are...

The post code is a little misleading, but this is the only Hotel in the area - easy to see. This is a small but good solution for many especially walking. The hotel has a very good choice of beers, wines & together with a good selection of food. Will be happy to stay there again soon.

On a damp and foggy evening we has an early dinner at this traditional pub/restaurant. As soon as we walked in we were met by the wall of heat from the fireplace. Bliss. We had a soft drink whilst deciding what to eat. The OH went for a dish on the special board, pork belly with crackling on a bed...

Visited for Sunday lunch in a party of 6. Quality of food was good and it was reasonably priced however only able to give 3 stars as we had to wait longer than we would have expected for the meals to arrive despite it not appearing to be too busy. Nice real fire next to the bar.

We stopped off here after a day roaming around the Peak District. The accommodation is in a building just off from the pub and although the room was small it was also very quaint and suited us.
