Travellers' Choice
As you'd expect from the historic home of Britain's silk industry, our Macclesfield hotel is all about comfort and convenience. And comfort we have in spades - the hotel features our new generation rooms, with an impressive 40" flat screen TV, freshly-updated bathroom with large shower head, and brand new, slumber-inducing, king-size Hypnos bed. Based in the quiet Tytherington business village, stockport/ Chester are easy to get to and the picture postcard village of Prestbury is very close by. Explore the wonders of the universe at the Jodrell Bank Discovery Centre. Stroll around St. Michael's Church that overlooks Market Place. Take to the fairway at the nearby golf clubs. Then after a day of work, rest or play, unwind in our on-site Beefeater restaurant.

Stayed here on business for 4 nights. Staff are repeatedly not enforcing mask wearing inside the hotel despite notices outside the hotel, next to the reception desk and on a TV screen in reception stating masks must be worn in public areas of the hotel unless you have an exemption. Groups of young men are gathering outside the main doors and walking in and out of the hotel and through the corridors routinely not wearing masks. Just encountered 3 separate young male individuals on an upper corridor who would have walked past reception, all were not wearing face masks. There were 2 staff members at reception as I’ve just walked past them both. Last night I complained about another 2 separate young male guests walking through reception and not wearing face masks. Now either the Premier Inn in Macclesfield North has either an inordinate number of young male customers exempt from mask wearing or staff just can’t be bothered to ensure Coronavirus legislation, in place to protect us all, is adhered to. The Health Protection (Coronavirus, Wearing of Face Coverings in a Relevant Place) (England) Regulations 2020) states “there are some places you must wear a face covering by law .... in the following indoor setting .... public areas in hotels”. Staff are not requesting guests wear face masks, they are not challenging guests not wearing face masks, they are not making it ‘the norm’ for masks to be worn in this hotel. Quite clearly, staff also don’t care about following their own guidelines as laid down by Premier Inn or keeping the hotel safe for other guests.

Excellent service, staff helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Helpful and fully respectful during COVID times. Excellent well done to all staff during our stay! Could not fault the time me and my wife spent there.

Just what you expect from. premier inn and value at £36 per night. The staff we very friendly and helpful. The best thing is the location being very handy for visiting this part of Cheshire. It is well located for places to eat if the on site Beefeater is not to your taste. The negatives are the lack of room servicing as we stayed two days, and the WiFi which has to be signed into every time.

Hotel is on a small industrial estate just off the main road. Staff are very friendly, check in was prompt and advice given on restaurant bookings. Our room was nice and clean and also quiet. What more could you want?

Nice room, very clean, good facilities, good parking. Restaurant next door very convenient. Could not get the room temperature above 20C which was a bit cool for me. The bed was comfortable and got a good nights sleep.
